well in my school we spent 1 yr on ww1 and 1 yr on ww2 ... does it make a difference that I went to military school? Also we did alot of studying about CIA operations,like the Bay of Pigs, the banana wars in S america. I alos took an option course called Cilizations Of history, we learned EVERYTHING, from the cavemen to modern times. early 80's as it was

In my course at History GCSE we our doing International Relations 1909-1981 so the two WWs are quite a bit of my course. We pretty much looked at them from all angles, and about 80 people from our Year Group (including me) visited the Somme for four days, to look at cemeteries, surviving trenches, etc.
One thing that disgusted me on that trip was the difference between the German and Allied cemeteries. The Allied ones were beautifully kept, nice gardens, polished gravestones, while the German cemetery was overgrown, badly kept and half of the gravestones had fallen over!

I'm learning WWI right now, and it seems to cover mostly everything (although not in detail, and almost entirely in the middle east and europe. It basically only passingly mentions fighting in Africa and Japan's role in the war).
The lead up to the war also covers a lot of different areas, but, again, not in a huge amount of detail.
