Here we can post our favorite attractions, activities, and whatnot from where we live. I would start but I don't get out much.

(And this is unrelated to the fact that I need to find an activity in Old Town Alexandria, VA by Friday, I swear!)

Back in the ROC (Rochester, NY) we had a few things, like the House of Guitars or Dinosaur Barbecue. Lots of historical LDS sites within an hour drive of the city, so most of the Mormons I know have been through.

Go to Dairy Queen, swim in one of the nearby rivers, run 16 miles, etc. This is my college town of course. Back home its a much more eventful place.

Old Town, go to the wharf, take whoever it is out to dinner.

But in Arlington, you can go to high school football, Ballston Mall, take Metro to DC, go to Clarendon to shop/hang out, umm, there's gotta be more here: party (there's a lot here), and generally hang out with friends.

Six Flags is 10 minutes down the road. DC, Baltimore and Annapolis are all 15 minutes away. There is a 1/4 mile race track across the highway. Go-cart track. Roller rink (I think people still use it). There use to be a rope swing on the river but the Army Corp of Engineers took down the tree before it was compleatly undermined by the river. I'm sure theres more.

I live in Rio and on can do pretty much anything around here.

From sunny beaches to forests and mountains to cool nightclubs we've got it all.

Asleepy little town called Crofton its right next to Bowie where 50 and 301 meet.

Raven country :p

I know where Crofton is, I only live a couple dozen miles from you. But, you're in cow country.

Yes cow tipping I knew I missed something

Go to the nationals games!

The Nationals are the DC Baseball team.

DC united games too. Thats our soccer team. The best in MLS history with more chapionship titles then the rest combined. And they beat international teams too like Real Madrid and who ever was the best team in the Scotish league.

Calaway Park - Amusement park
The Calgary Stampede - 10 days in July that give everyone an excuse to dress like cowboys and get drunk
You can drive out the Banff
Canada Olympic Park - Skiing within the city limits, though it isn't a very big hill.
Calgary Flames hockey
Calgary Stampeders football

There is a minor league baseball stadium here too. The Bowie Baysox play there. They are the AAA team for the B-more Oriols.

Technically, we tied. But we did beat Celtic.

Just about anything i really want to do can be found somewhere in manchester, ive been searching all the taxis recently for bez with his maraccas-to no avail :(

Hang out at the coffee shop. The rodeo is in town at the start of summer. Stare at the longest running lightbulb. Protest the lab. Protest the protesters. Go to the movies. High school sports games. Go wine tasting. Leave, i.e. go to San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, San Jose, etc.

No, I'M in Cow Country. I live in St. Mary's County, Maryland.

And yes, I've gone cow-tipping.

When we're bored down here in the SMC, we play paintball, get drunk at big bonfires (even in the winter!!), and have big Halo 2 parties. In the summer, it's common to go out on a boat and have a party on the water ( at least one of your friends always has a boat) and get drunk or go fishing or crabbing, or any conbination of the three. offroading, going to Bud's Creek Raceway, and Solomon's Island are also common things, as is the excursion to points north.
Did I mention partying?
