If you were to fill in a blank, that everyone could read in multiplayer or whatever, what is your stated agenda that is put on the table for everyone to see?

Mine is: (Settler) Respects Civs who Settle often, Hates Civs who maintain 1-4 Cities and neglect expansion. Feels that such civilizations deserve to be wiped out and have already lost. Is greatly enraged by any player or AI who makes a Settler and sits there doing nothing with it throughout the game. Will immediately and completely wipe out any civilization who does this and has the gaul to denounce us.

Yeah, in my recent Norway game France never settled more then 5 cities, two of which were razed by City States, and they had a Settler escort with a wounded heavy chariot that sat on the coast for 100+ turns doing nothing, not even healing itself, and the Settler does nothing. This AI behavior was so terrible it actually upsets and enrages me when I see this sort of thing happening, and I will inevitably eliminate them with a Colonial war later down the line, unless I am dead set on maintaining high diplomacy.

But I just give up when it comes to diplomacy. In my Norway game I started on a small island with two other civilizations, both of whom I wiped out completely, and 20-30+ turns later (grievances dissolved) I start meeting new Civs and they are immediately unfriendly the next turn or even denounce me.

So my note to the Devs is: You have completely ruined diplomacy, it isn't worth bothering with at all, and there is very little use for it anyway. Trading luxuries is far less important then in Civ 5, and trading away Votes can easily be done on the first turn you meet a new Civ, before they become unfriendly. So what's the point?

I mean if you're going to screw it up this much... Norway converted a capital using an apostle later on and France declared a religious emergency. Three other Civs denounced me because this. So everything I do is wrong. God forbid I kill an early player who spawns on top of me. God forbid I convert someone else's city.

If you're going to actually play the game, everyone will hate you, Just get used to it, crush and pillage all of them. They are worthless and friendship with them is useless.

My agenda is quite opposite to yours (You are hereby Denounced :D ).

"Settles new cities only if absolutely necessary. Wants to be friends with everyone. Hates anyone who is not a friend"

Somehow I can play the game and have most of them love me (though I don't play at those levels where they get an extra settler from the start to be fair). And I can usually punish those who don't want to be my friends without losing those other friends. All you need is to keep calm and not be too greedy when at war :D (Oh, and there is actually one AI agenda about respecting you if you pillage a lot...)

Mine is probably chandragupta's. leave me alone

Alternately, if I need an original one, I like to improve as many tiles as possible and respect other civs who do the same.

Mine is very similar to the OP, but with a twist. Build wonders to generate multiple golden ages, and at the same time have the highest possible faith generation. Use Monumentality to generate dozens of settlers. Then settle as widely as possible across the map, typically with Religious Colonization so each new city has my religion. And 2 gpt in each of those cities comes in very handy.

Stay off my lawn! Specifically religious units, convert my cities and I will go to war.

vengeful : if anyone even denounces let alone DOW on me i will not peace out , i will not stop with only pillaging, i will not accept surrender , i will totally ,completely destroy the offender. and yeah i dont care if i have 1469382694 grievances.

Aggresive defender: I dislike those who declare war on me or MY city-states. Do attack and I make sure that your war will be costly! (Sometimes the AI has been so scared of my might that they give me almost everything they own)

Mine is like part of GIlgamesh and Gandhi: I like Friendship treaties/Alliances and I don't like civilizations who go to war with me or threaten me/denounce me.

Something along the lines of:

"The sun always sets on" likes civs whole have contiguous borders hates civs that settle a city that cannot be connected by contiguous border and absolutely will go nuclear on a civ that disrupts the contiguous nature of my civ/settles within my expansion range.

I enjoy a good looking minimap!

I recently realized that my agenda is probably that of Alex: I'm thrilled to see civilizations at war with powers other than mine. And I frown upon civilizations at peace with powers other than mine.

I'm easy to please. As long as you don't ever forward settle me, try to convert my cities, settle areas that I was totally going to settle eventually but just hadn't got around to yet, beat me to Wonders, capture City-States I'm allied with or spy on me, we can be friends. :mischief:

Because I very often play Cree, the most useful agenda for me is the Dutch one. I want your trade, espacially to my cities with camps/pastures. Just in case I don't get those sweet merchants for incoming trade.

Sending me bad trade offers is enough for me to go to war with you. 2 of my luxuries + 30 iron for 35 gold and open borders is automatic denouncement followed by war. I wish bad trade offers gave grievances.

Annoying friend: I’ll be your best undeclared friend but forward settle you, stress your borders block your settlers, be friends with your enemies...until you have had enough, then When you declare I will finish the wall, upgrade my troops and take all your clothes... or even better, let you take a city as that aggrieves me more.

Robotic Pragmatist: Acquires new cities when possible, emphasizes military
  • Likes: Backwards/small nations that are far away
  • Dislikes: Civilization(s) other than self closest to winning the game
Note that eventually the backwards/small nation might become 2nd place...

Sleeping Dragon: Wants to be left in peace. If provoked, will retaliate to eliminate aggressor from game.

  • Likes: Civilizations who do not act aggressively towards me.
  • Dislikes: Being targeted with pointless denouncements and surprise wars.

Scourge of God (reference to BNW Atilla): If declared on, will raze whatever cities captured. Extra satisfaction from razing amazing cities with wonders. Likes similarly vengeful civs and hate people who declare war for own gain (ok if declare war to completely raze everything).

Polite warmonger: Will try to be a friend to all but if you piss me off in any way (forward settle me, convert my capital thereby killing my religion, denounce me, etc) I will nicely denounce you then formally declare war on you and then wipe the floor with you. Repeat with all your allies and friends.

All of them, even if that doesn't even make sense.

Greedy opportunist: Consistently siphons funds at every opportunity from all players, no matter how long you've been friends or allies.

Likes: Civilizations that stand up to espionage.
Dislikes: Civilizations with no gold.
