Πατρίους παραδοχάς, ας θ' ομίληκας χρόνους κέκτημεθ, ουδείς αυτά καταβάλει λόγος.

(excerpt from Sophocles, which means: "what our fathers tought us, and we gained since so many years, no word can alter").

In other words, i doubt anyone here will be changing their view soon ;)

Yet another Civ II die-hard here. I found the combat in Civ III to be impossible; if I managed to survive long enough to reach the late game, corruption made things impossible. What I did like was non-gameplay related: the wonder building screens, the city views, and building your palace (the throne room from Civ II was getting old, and only had one linear architectural path). Civ IV I simply never got into very much; while it was easier to pick up and play than III, it lacked whatever "fun" element I found in Civ II. So I still play that.

Besides, there aren't a lot of other games out there with so much fun to offer for less than 100 Megabytes of HDD space!

You know, i had made a scenario for civ2 back in the day. It is still in the spanish civ2 best of the net collection :)

Some more civ3 stuff ;)
