What kind of ships were used in ancient times for trade in the persian gulf?

Before the "destruction" of the indus valley civilization, there was a very active oceanic trade between South Mesopotamia the Indus valley, Dilmun (Bahrein) and Magan (Oman).

I wonder what kind of ships they used, I only know of the Dhows used by the arab merchants in the indic ocean, but that is milleniums after that time.

That's from Thor Heyerdhal's last expedition, sailing a huge reed-boat of Persian Gulf design, the "Tigris", from Marsh Arab country in Iraq, to India, to Egypt. Political troubles in the Red Sea cut the expedition short, and in the end they spectacularily torched the boat on the water.
