Thanks for your feedback.
The following changes are in the works for version 1.12:
- city banners: show the current majority Pantheon/Religion beliefs & effects when mousing over the religion icon
- top panel: detail where luxuries come from (similar to what's done for strategic resources)
- Allow right click on civ selection screen UU/UB icons to access pedia (the UI will also support mods with unlimited traits, unique units, buildings, and improvements)

Version 1.12 is out
  • Fixed some MP & SP bugs
  • Significant code optimizations
  • CityBanners: click on spy icon -> espionage overview, click on puppet icon -> annex popup
  • ToolTips: Show the current active Pantheon/Religion beliefs & effects when mousing over the city banner Faith icon
  • CityView: supports modded buildings with unlimited specialists & great works (mods only)
  • CityView: production queue items can now be dragged to appropriate location (no more clunky arrows)
  • NotificationPanel: when city acquires new tiles, resource is shown in border expansion notification
  • TechTree: supports "OR" tech prerequistes (mods only)
  • UnitPanel: removed the ugly "edit" button, but unit name can now be changed with a right click
  • GameSetup: supports unlimited UU/UB/UI (mods only)
  • GameSetup: can right click on stuff to access pedia (pre-game)
- top panel: detail where luxuries come from (similar to what's done for strategic resources)
will have to wait for 1.13...

if I had one to vote for (but it's not present in the list)
it would be having access to happiness and unhappiness in the city view screen

In my opinion, happiness is a major component of the game and I find myself often trying to optimize happy buildings Vs City Size and prevent growth
I currently use whoward69 excellent UI - City Happiness
however the main issue is when you begin having lots of cities and that you must find a particular city in the whole list of cities

hence why I think such a display in cityview would be useful.

of course it would not take into account global happiness (since this is a city view)
however it could take into account all local stuff & also global unhappiness reductions (since I believe those apply to all cities, unless happiness reduction is calculated AFTER local happiness ? I don't know about that xD)

Would it be possible to move the warning we receive about the severity of the warmongering penalty you get for capturing the city to somewhere we see before actually capturing the city? Usually this warning is unhelpful since we would've already captured the city unless the decision is between liberating or keeping/razing the city.

IIRC in BNW it's displayed when you mouve your mouse over the city name in the world view.

One minor suggestion for the tooltips on units.
When you are currently lacking a strategic resource the tooltip accurately shows the reduced strength of the unit, I wonder if this could be highlighted by changing the colour to RED to indicate a malus is in operation.

A couple of days ago, someone requested a hotkey mod for the City View screen. It was easy enough to do, so I made a quick and dirty CityView.lua replacement for him. I found it to be pretty helpful; maybe you can do something similar?

Your mod is awesome, but I really don't like being forced between seeing the default scorelist or the mod's. I prefer to play without the scorelist at all. In fact I'd like a mod where I could press a hotkey and go into "admire world view" where there would be no interface or unit flags until I press the hotkey again. So my pick would be to allow an option for no score list.

Please read the instructions on how to remove unwanted features

Sorry EUI is focussed on useability, not cosmetics

Could a mod please close this old thread ? The top 3 poll items have already been implemented.

Cheers

I don't know if this is possible, but the thing I miss the most about previous Civ's is a red ring around an enemy unit if you are at war with them and they are within one of your units vision range. This really helps catch the eye that an enemy is getting close and with so many city-states having color schemes that are very close to each other it would help keep up with this problem.
