Equally; why do so? Any being that fulfils the criteria for a God is way beyond such petty ego massaging. "Worship" - religious praise, thanks, devotion, adoration. I don't see why God would care about these one way or another. If altruism is admired in humans I see no reason to assume it is not present in God. You could argue that it is still right to be thankful, but to which of the innumerable deities that are, and have been, worshipped?

Why does a man love his father? Of course Christians are going to praise God, especially since we believe part of the Trinity descended to Earth and died so we could be saved. God deserves the praise of all of mankind for all he's done for us (creating, sustaining, and liberating the human race and all)

I love and respect my dad but I do not worship him :)

If God exists and he decided to reveal to us that this is the case, then me would get my admiration and respect, but probably not worship.

Many of you are going to start asking "Why I am no longer a Shinto-Catholic". Well I am going to tell you that it is hard to be in 100% with Rome as well as combining a religion (Not to mention offending other people with my confusing belief  ).

Right now, I am just a Roman Catholic Christian.

To the Roman Catholic Posters, I am sorry that I was a Schismatic and a Heretic :(.

Don't worry about it. Do what you have to do.

Thank you for the handy tip, now I will never more excuse others for my Atheistic beliefs.

Someone's giving you a problem?

I didn't quite understand your post, so I asked a question to figure out what you were thinking.

I was born into a Protestant family but i became an atheist when i was about 13/14 years old, but i had my doubts about religion before then.

It's ok.

You're the most Roman Catholic person I know. Well, over the internet, anyways.
