What scoring system does the HoF use?

Is it the same as the XotM score program that magically converts the save file to Jason score? There's not really any info on the HoF site about this.

Is there any altering scores between game versions: vanilla, ptw, c3c?

Which version (opinion) scores highest. I would think ptw scores higher than van because of extra wonders, but I've never looked into this, nor do I know all the factors.

I'm thinking about HoF-ing a couple games just for fun. :)

Nope. No one named Jason around here. 2050 wins (Histographic) are ranked by raw Firaxis score. Domination, Diplomatic, 20k, 100k, Spaceship and Conquest are listed by victory date (Fastest Finish). Score games are ranked on raw Firaxis score and can be anything from the aforementioned seven tables.

Not by the HOF staff, no.

PTW and Vanilla, I'm not sure there's a real difference. For longer 'milk' type games, C3C is the way to go. Using an Ag civ and generating the Pyramids off an SGL the first 20 turns is incredibly powerful on a huge map. Then again, on a tiny/conquests, PTW/Van might be the better way to go since the Aztec Jags are still 10 shields.

Welcome! How many games are you thinking about? Maybe pick a theme and go for one of the awards? (Machiavelli, Pentathlon, Octathlon)...

Thanks for the quick and accurate responses there sluggy! I'm thinking of going for the easy (but long and drawn out) award first and maybe others later. :D
