What type of victory do you achieve LEAST often?

...really enjoyed domination a few times. Only when most of the civs are on the same land mass, though.

You said it Oracle. If I play on 3 or more continents, & going for Domination, it can be a real grind..:hammer:.

I find that Conquest can much quicker & easier on multiple landmasses (3 or more continents usually), because I always end up using nuclear weapons. So Domination is more satisfying because at the end, my empire can enjoy life w/o 50% fallout.

Other than Time, I get Diplomatic the least- but gonna try to mess around with the AP more. Im assuming that you would have to be a religion spammer.

Diplomatic.

If you're going to conquer enough enemy cities to get votes, why not conquer them completely anyway?

Diplomatic as I usually don't give what the AI asks, unless I plan to butter it up or like it for some reason. Or maybe when I want one side to grow stronger.
Come to think of it, I hmm sometimes give them what they want?
It means lots of wars and lots of WW but no you can't have it peacefully!

Not really that awesome. Found all the religions, spread one to everyone except your intended enemy. GS lightbulb your way to mass media and build the UN. Your religious buddies all love you. Plus, you won't get many close borders penalties. Not sure how well it works in a higher difficulty, but then again, high difficulty OCC's is a realm that I have yet to conquer.

Would anyone please describe the movie for time victories? I've never saw it.

I've never won a cultural victory. I prefer to just kill everyone and be done with it.
My only time victory was my first game of vanilla.

Time - never. it would require a strange strategy of basically preventing anyone else from winning space race for at least a hundred years, while avoiding a domination or conquest win yourself. Diplomatic is likely to end up in never-again category since I started playing with vassals off. Then again, one through AP should still be viable when all civs are on a single continent.

You should give Time a try some time when there are a few more aggressive Civs left. The problem with them is that they usually are backwards and can't pose a threat... If you're actively going for time, you'll A) give them time to catch up, and B) likely be forced to do things that they aren't going to like. It can be an interesting late-game war experience when all of the bogeymen of early game tech up to your level in the late game...

I suppose it all depends on the settings, but with enough map, opponents, and difficulty the result should be about the same.

Least frequent has to be culture. It is very hard compared to all the rest, and probably more so with the improved BtS AI.

Domination is easiest, at least for me. I never get conquest because I keep the enemy cities, so a domination occurs.

Diplo is not usually in the cards, especially with BtS. Every AI goes out of their way to get offended, even the weakest guy on the other side of the world demands something.

SS is not easy either, since you can build an army and take out your enemies much faster than you can beat them to a fully loaded SS. In fact spending hammers on troops while your enemies build SS parts is a big advantage.

Well I've never gotten the "time" victory although that's not much of a victory at all. I can't remember if I ever got conquest. Unless your on a terra map and finish before the new world is colonized then you'll usually get a domination victory before you finish everyone. If you don't could time and count conquest and domination as the same thing, then I least often get culture victory.

I've never had the cultural or the time victory.

Normally I win through diplomacy. I control half the votes myself and by killing other's enemies, I have a friend or two to get me the rest of the votes. Go military conquest!

Yeah, at least Diplo has a picture..

It's susprising that nobody made a mod so that Time or Diplo could have a movie. Time seems like it would be an easier mod to make, something similar to cultural, without all the wonders. Don't know what a diplo movie should look like :dunno:

I pictured something showing shaking hands, people hugging, diplomatic meetings and general human happiness :D I was little disappointed to find...a picture.

As for AP, show religious scenes, people praying and holy men shaking hands. They could have seven different AP victory movies, one for each religion. People meditating in Buddhist temples for Buddhist AP, people studying Confucius for Confucian AP, people praying for Christian AP...

Maybe this is Firaxis' way of answering this thread question "What type of victory do you achieve LEAST often?", by not making movies for them. They probably assumed that these were going to be the least popular victories aimed for. (or they just got lazy..lol).

Sounds awesome!! ...all with Justinian's music;)

The Time Victory movie could have people crowded around Big Ben (or another famous clock tower) counting down the final seconds to the new year. The chime when it ticks over midnight would be a fitting end to a long game.
