What We Know About Brave New World

I actually got so excited when I heard abotu the Religion expansion, Reformation was big part of Religion in our history so it's nice to have a representation! I also am glad that they're splitting Christianity, finally, I can have the 2 beautiful symbols in-game without the need of mods!

ok i have updated everything that i saw in the Q and A, if I missed anything please let me know

- Great Works may be able to be stolen

I think this can be changed to "Great Works can be stolen."

The Louvre's 4 Great-Work-slots have to be filled with 2 artworks and 2 artifacts from different era and different nationality each to gain the theming-bonus. One artwork might come from one of your own artists. The other one has to be from a foreign artist!
Unless it is possible to trade art (which I doubt), conquering cities with some Great Works in it should be the only possibility to get access to this foreign artworks.

--

Also, there might be a new bullet point: "Admiral: UNKNOWN new second ability" as we learned that all Great Persons will have one now.

Admirals already have two abilities. The first one is to give a combat bonus to all your ships in a two tile radius. The second one is that you can sacrifice him to instantly repair all your ships in a one tile radius.

Multiplayer

- Hybrid Turn Mode; Sequential turns until combat occurs then switches to normal turn based turns

This should say simultaneous turns until combat occurs then switches to sequential turns.

Okay, in addition to the Zulus (Shaka as their leader) being confirmed, we also have confirmed Brazil, with Pedro II as their leader, Portugal with Maria I as theirs and a load of really informative new screenshots.

Portugese leader is Maria I (the Mad)

Protugal gets a naval UU is which is the Nau (Carrack).

Panama City new maritime CS and Brattislava new culture CS.

Theres a new notification icon of a map with an checkmark on it (world congress?)

Portugese offensive improvement from their UA. Feitora most likely.:

New french improvement it looks like.

So Panama City and Ur replace Rio de Janerio and Lisbon and Brattislava replaces Warsawa (presumably).

That leaves Sofia (militaristic) and Riga (maritime) as new city states, but which ones do they replace?

Could it be Hanoi and they are adding Vietnam? And Jakarta for Indonesia?

Escapist article (which says "is based on my hands-on time with the game") says: "Portugal's Maria I is also making an appearance in Brave New World with a unique improvement, which basically lets you take a share of whatever resources your neighboring City States are producing."

Also, on trade routes the OP states "Separate Land and Sea Routes (you start the game with 1 each)", which is not quite right -- Escapist article confirms that you get your first Caravan (land trade route unit) when you research Animal Husbandry (and other sources (including the PAX demo) state that you get your first sea trade route when you research Sailing).

On internal trade routes (transfer production after Workshop or food after Granary), the Escapist article also states that "The best part of these internal Trade Routes is that you're actually producing these resources, rather than draining them from the city of origin." which answers one question that folks have been asking.

Ah, I didnt read it properly. So Portugal has a UU (Nau) and UI (Feitora) and unknown UA then.

Updated with Portugal and Zulu

What is the source for Bratislava and Panama City being in the game? Shouldn't we update that Slovakia and Panama/Gran Colombia(?) are definitely not in then?
