We all have by now probably came out with the first game, who we going to play as, what map etc. But I'm curious, what will you do in that game?

First of all, I'm going to try the new France, on Pangea with all new civs and the other default settings + Promotions and Policy saving.

My first few turns will be Scout>Worker>Shrine (unless I get a 12 turn worker, which doesn't leave me room for it)>Great Library>Pyramids

Going to go for Collective Rule by adopting the first three Liberty policies.

And after I get my initial default start, I will go for Parthenon, focus on culture and tourism and see how fun it is to play, going to try extra hard to be the host of Congress too. Hopefully I won't end up next to Shaka :|

I was thinking of going back down to Chieftain but I don't think that would be as much fun.

All I know is I'm going to go for Freedom Culture victory as my first achievement.

I'm going to play the Shoshone first. They seem like a good one for learning the new mechanics. I'm going to go Tradition as usual. I'm going to try to use my Pathfinder to snag a Faith ruin to start a Pantheon early, then try to get a tech. After that, I will use my Pathfinders to hit Barb camps for city-state quests.

Then I'm going to cycle through the new civs, trying them all.

After that, I'm going to try Byzantium, going Piety first. And then Carthage, aiming for Exploration.

And I will try the old ones that have been updated, like India and Arabia.

I will probably play as America on TSL Giant Earth and unceremoniously (and historically) declare war against the Shoshone and Iroquois until I annihilate them or they have one small city (reservation) and my empire stretches coast to coast. Then I will spend the rest of the game hoping the world didn't notice and aim for a cultural/diplomatic victory, all the while declaring war against far away tyrants like the new Assyria and maybe the Zulu.

After all, George is Angry!

Going to play Venice and have fun with the trade route system, and probably indirectly control the world through trade ties.

First thing will be maddjinn's lp so I can learn how the new mechanics would really work. :)

I won't be watching any videos on youtube, or reading any guides. I just want to run in there and play with everything! I want to try it out for myself and see what I like the most. I'll be like a kid getting a new set of legos!

Talcove, I can understand that. I would expect he would be doing what he did G&K and not have full play throughs but straight forward introductions to each of the new mechanics, which are better than reading the civolopedia which can be lacking. Plus I'm the type that wants to understand first so I can do it right since there are many elements in the game to get ones arms around.

First thing I'll do? Read the civilopedia - especially the entries for the new civilizations and their leaders and uniques! That way I also get to enjoy the menu theme.

After that, start a Pangaea "game" as... anyone really, and set all other players as the new civilizations. This will serve only to see their leader screen and hear their theme (and voice acting). Mess around a bit during diplomacy, see them talk and whatnot.
(Maybe I'll go with America so I can see them sooner?)

Finally, I'll start a Continents game as Portugal, and play as usual.
Maybe Continents Plus, I'm not sure... Never played Continents Plus, but the map seems soooo big compared to Continents, I fear I will have to add more Civilizations to fill in more... I feel that, as it is, a Continents Plus map won't be filled up at all with the standard number of civilizations.

Venice, Large-Huge (not sure), Epic, Prince or King, probably Prince to have an absolutely easy game as I find out what is viable and what is not with BNW.

Most likely Tradition. Tactic depends on the map a bit, but also on whether or not Venice will receive any important uu/ua changes/buffs.

Forgot to add all my enemies will be other new civs + France (to see if he remains trying to conquer others like in G&K, but always failing, or if he embraces his new, inferior (I think) tourism side now)

I have a lot of stuff I want to try out, but I think reading the civilopedia entries for 5min will be good enough for me to understand some detailed bonuses to the civs.

Then, I'll probably do what I did with GnK last year:

Continents game with one of my favorite new civs (either Poland, Indonesia or Portugal)
Scenario with one of the new civs (or not, who knows)
Venice on continents
Indonesia on Archipellago, if I haven't picked it for my first game, hmm
Morocco on a Ring map vs. 21 Moroccos for 5 :civ5gold: 1 :civ5culture: per trade route

But in the end, my first real game shall be as Poland, I'll go for Order and will handpick Germany and Russia to be in the game. Huge or Large map, probably.

After I played with all the new toys at least once (doesn't mean to finish a whole game), I'll try some new stuff like Byzantine Piety and new India/Arabia.

lol I will play as Venice on TSL Giant Earth. Probably have to go down to Prince...

I'm tempted to play Deity on a Great Plains map as Mongolia or the Huns vs Venice with no CS's. Just so I can kill them as violently as possible.

Destroy Venice before Enrico DanYOLO takes all of the city-states.

Holy celtic empire with happiness enough for brutal expansion and culture enough to run through the piety tree before riflemen, now with the formerly missing piece: religious fervor. If possible encircle a goody hut or use the fleet to keep civs of an island until after archology.

After that, use national trade routes to get all roads to lead to Rome, helping Rome build an improvement, then build it for less cost in all other cities, then help rome again build the national wonder, possibly ignoring most world wonders.

I would very much look forward to having an AI ally relationship stable enough so I could leave an unguarded front in his/her direction.

I want to cause unrest and rebellions in a rival civ of different ideology, I want to see rebels tearing them apart!
