I have found out that I have absolutely zero creative talent and as a result am hopeless at fiction writing of any sort, even just coming up with a general plot, much less writing it out. At most I just literally copy whatever work I have previously read, watched, or played without adding much at all. This annoys me immensely, especially considering that I would like to be creative.

Bill3000 slowly trudged on sore feet up to his front door. It had been a lousy day, and all he wanted to do now was to plop facedown onto his pillow and sleep for maybe 100 years. He unlocked the door and swung it open.

Inside was a monster, about the size of three alligators standing side by side. It had been eating Bill3000's coffee table. When it heard Bill3000 enter, it stopped chewing, fixed a cold reptilian eye on Bill3000, and mumbled to itself, "Ahh, dinner has arrived."

---what do you do??-- :D

I'd make the anti-romance novel. I always wanted to see a romance movie where they guy doesn't get the girl no matter how hard he tries, like real life.

No publisher would want to be involved with that.

...And yet, I can see it becoming a best-seller.

My favourite german writer, ETA Hoffmann, lived in the 19th century but in his stories included sometimes Automata (robots. The word is greek and comes from auto=self and maiw=to decide).
Perhaps they could also be seen as science-fiction, although the bulk of the story is about madness. They are worth reading though. I recommend his most famous story, The Sandman :)

Mary Shelley is often quoted as starting science-fiction. And H G Wells was basically end of the 19th C. too. Not surprising.
