I can't really promise everything given that I'm working on a PhD, but after making a huge leap into contemporary times from my usual comfort zone of the 15th century, I think I've developed the techniques to create architectural forms of other eras (though I'm not even going to try making something like the Burj al-Arab!) and there is even a temptation to do something for the other hemisphere.

So the question is what things are more in demand at this time among the community?

Maybe The Crystal Palace? Both icons and splash would be appreciated. Here's a user-created 3D-model.
The icon I'm currently using is converted from a B/W aerial photo, and it's quite rubbish (was my first attempt to make Civ3 stuff). The splash I use isn't my own creation (apart from the banner), but taken from here (Exterior Still Image #1). That site also has some VRML-models and other "goodies".

I can't do the building, but I did make a couple Crystal Palace Wonder Splashes a while back http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=72787, not as good as Ogedei_the_Mad would make, but there for your perusal.

I echo Blue Monkey's wish for Mauryan era Indian graphics.
IIRC you still have the files from the Indian buildings/wonders you've made. The only thing you'd likely need to make is a Mauryan "condominium". If they're not at that link some city overviews can be produced as well.

Similar to what Axolotl said, Ogedei, it would be great if you wanted to continue your modern line of buildings. Small things like suburban houses, urban apartments, shops or factory plants that could be used as either city improvements or resources on the map. Players could find multiple uses for these.

If you're looking for a big challenge, it would be great to have some modern capital cities like Tokyo, Moscow, or Paris with recognizable features.

Good luck on whatever you decide to do. Your newest sets have been outstanding.

@Blue Monkey: I've been thinking of venturing back to India for some time. Victoriental sounds like it'd be an interesting thing to try out as well.

@Shiro: I'm not sure what would count as generic. Normally, I'd prefer doing things that are specific and then altering the object to suit a different purpose.

@AnthonyBoscia (and Axolotl): Any specific style you're looking for? Or just the most stereotypical 1950s "Leave it to Beaver" North American suburb? Speaking of which, 4-era city sets (though Korean-specific) had been in the works for a while. The biggest challenge is getting the color and lighting and shadow settings to cooperate. :crazyeye:

@Jorsalfare: Hmm... Don't know if I want to try that yet, but I'll think about it.

Mighty kind of you, Ogedei! :hatsoff:

Tricky to model, but I could use the Venetian Arsenal(e).

Best,

Oz

If you can be of assistance in finding free .obj or 3ds models of those Greco-Roman figures, then that would be a plus. ;)

Definitely. I'll do it while running a parallel search to find an English word to rhyme with, "orange."

Any type of modern house or apartment building would be fine for me, doesn't have to be North American.

Any of the following that might interest you:

Traditional German Fachwerkhäuser: Timber-framed house or a small cluster of houses.

Tel Aviv White City: Bauhaus style white buildings with some palms and greenery

Modern commercial container port: container ship offloading with cranes- as an alternate to Firaxis dock

Modern Drydock/shipyard: for naval or civil maritime construction

Modern manufacturing plant

St Petersburg Hermitage

Registan of Samarkand

Moscow Kremlin with walls, Grand Palace, Arsenal, etc. inside

Mediterranean marina: old style structures with modern sailboats/yachts

Definitely looking forward to your city sets. ShiroKobbure's and Ozzy's requests would be great, too. Thanks again!
