Whats your internet connection speed?

My connection just tested at 1630 kbps download and 325 kbps upload. I have no idea what my provider claims it should be so I don't know how good/bad this is.

Bet I have the slowest internet: 26k

I try to play Medal of Honor, and the lag is unbelievable.

Is it really worthwhile playing an internet game where reactions are critical with such a poor connection?

AOL doesn't like to tell you how fast or slow it's going.

There are two things you can do, MC. Pay close attention to the sign-on screen. Very briefly you can see what the connection is. I found it one in one of AOL's sub programs, but that was version 7, haven't seen it since.

Or you can google 'Speed Test' and find a website that will check your connection speed. Some of these files they send can be big, so make sure that the site isn't sending a huge MP3 (which is how some do it)...

Oh in that case sometime 50,000Bps or 49,000bps. Slow.

AOl doesn't even show up in the network connections thing on windows. It appears for like 2 seconds then hides :crazyeye:

I used to have AOL broadband :crazyeye: and it always was so slow so we got Cable, deffinetly the way to go. :goodjob:

http://bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/

That will give you a download speed test and a "communication" speed test. The communication speed it gives it generally about half of what a site like CNET's bandwidth meter will tell me.

it supposed to be 2Mb/s

i seriously doubt its anything over 200 Kb/s, not even on local servers

768 KBps Downstream / 128 KBps Upstream

it' the cheapest broadband you can get here and it's enough for what I need it, though the upstream could be a bit higher so that I could run my own webserver.
