when Mininova was nerfed, it was a sad day for me... they had by far the best site IMO, with fantastic search options and so many great sub-categories to find what you were looking for. also, I trusted the site, and never got any Viruses etcetera (of course, as long as you were careful, read the comments, and stayed away from obvious junk).

I moved onto IsoHunt after that, but ever since MiniNova went down I haven't been getting nearly as many torrents as I used to.. then, yesterday I got a virus warning simply for Visiting Isohunt! WTH! so, I guess that's not gonna work any more.

I'm not a big fan of Demonoid or PirateBay, as I think they both have pretty crappy search/menu options, but I'll use them if I have to..

was wondering if anyone could direct me to a good, reliable site where I won't get Virus warnings simply for browsing? and where hopefully they have extensive search options and categories..

or, just as a general topic, What's your favorite Torrent site, and why?

well, I will surely check those out...

but if I were interested in those specific types of torrents, I could just go back to the nerfed MiniNova..

1. IsoHunt does not have viruses, the ads do though. Or rather, they might set off your antivirus.
2. Since you're not interested in torrents of stuff that is legally torrentable, you're asking for help pirating something. This is against the forum rules.

The rule AFAICT is:

Posting links to warez sites and program cracks (including no-CD crack) are not allowed on the forum. Anyone found guilty of participating in piracy activity on the forum will be punished.
Which is entirely reasonable (well, I see nothing unethical about using a no-CD patch for your own legally purchased copy, but I guess they're just concerned about the law in terms of links). I'm not sure this extends to any more general discussion of copyright infringement - otherwise there'd be an awful lot of reasonable discussion that wouldn't be allowed (e.g., getting DVDs to run on Linux).

Simply discussing copyright, piracy, DRM, etc is allowed as long as no one is promoting piracy/illegal acts. Saying you do or have participate(d) in illegal piracy/infringement is a bannable offense.

And by process of elimination, we can assume OP isnt interested in legal torrents...
