Where did my spaceship go?

So after building the 10th spaceship component, I lost the ability to bring up the spaceship screen. WTH? How am I supposed to launch the darn thing now?

Is there some period of final fitting time you have to wait that was undocumented or missed by me? I don't have the patch, but I hadn't noticed anything or anyone saying spaceship victory was broken ...

Anyone out there that can clue me in?

Its been several turns since the last component was built, but no ship ...

Long ago I skipped Advanced Flight so I'm trying to learn it now to see if there's some prerequisite on it. One thing I noticed is that any other science rating than 0% is still going to take 4 rounds for me to get that tech - I had no idea there was a minimum research time!

After installing the 1.16f patch, I can no longer launch my spaceship to complete a spaceship victory. Very annoying.

I didn't have any problems with that. However, I found it to be very annoying that once you complete the last part, it immediately switches to the spaceship screen, and wouldn't let me get out without pressing the "launch" button.

Just when I wanted to launch all those freshly completed ICBMS on those pesky germans...

I have the same problem! It is 2023, I got the 10th component...and nothing happens when I click the "S" button on the info screen. (Running patch 1.16f)

I had the complete and must launch problem too.

It was very frustrating, I wanted to let my Modern Armor roll all over that bald headed Frog slut before I won

I can't launch my spaceship either. Finished the 10th component, but can't get to the spaceship screen when pressing "S". Anyone figure this out yet. I would kinda like to launch the sucker now that I've built it!!

Isn't it F10 to go to the ss screen? If not try F11, F12... one of the higher F keys.

I have researched EVERYTHING (well, except the FUTURE tech) on the tech tree, so I can now build the spaceship, right?

So I go click that 'S' button on the lower right... get that spaceship screen... click to assign a city to make a part... but then the game tells me that no city can make that part... or ANY other part for that matter!!!!

HELP!!!!!

If you have spaceship victory turned off you cannot build a spaceship. This is likely the problem, assuming you have the strategic resources required.

Is there any way for me to check to see if it's turned off. I've never manually turned off any of the win conditions, but this is the first time I've gone for the space victory. I've built all parts except the party lounge. The turn before it's built I can get to the spaceship screen, but as soon as it's built, I can't get to the screen. It makes the 'page turning' sound, but the screen just doesn't come up. Any other ideas??

Hehehe... sorry for bothering everyone... yes, I think the space-rece victory condition was off at the start. I was afraid that the AI might beat me to it...

Um... if space-race victory is enabled, and 2050 hasn't come yet, but you've launched your spaceship already, do you win right away, or do you have to wait for 2050? And can you continue even after winning?

Omega: you win the second you press the "Launch" button, and you can keep playing afterwards.

Oh... okay... so you win when you launch the spaceship, but does it give you anything else afterwards? Like income from your space colony or something? Or is it just there to make you win?

After you win there is no scoring done.

I don't know about income or anything like that, I usually get tired and start a new game. So I've never paid attention to what happens. But, I don't think it affects anything.
