I noticed Vannila Cube in the forum more recently. I dont know him, but from reading his posts I gathered he had some illness and is recovering. Good luck VC, get well soon!

Starlifter and Flatlander Fox were on my buddy-list, and I exchanged a few PMs with them until mid-October, then nothing.

My guess is they are doing their jobs, its what happens sometimes in that line of work. I know too well.
