Where to build the Lighthouse ?

This is a 72 hour poll, public, and winner wins with simple majority. The issue is already decided and None is omitted for that reason.

I will also add that Fanatannia has ALREADY decided to build the Great Lighthouse and the citizens are urged to vote on one of the cities already controlled by Fanatannia and not waste their votes on Abstain.

This Wonder is indeed approved by a singificant majority.
Do you Approve of the Great Lighthouse as the First Fanatannian Wonder ?

Alphabethically, Reversed :

Donsignia
Camelot
Bentley
Abstain

5 Facts regarding the Repoll.

Abstains win by clear majority, hence a few clarifications.

1.
Delhi is an inland city and a non-Fanatannian city, therefore ineligible as a location for this purely coastal wonder. The Culture Consul is a politician, not an optician.

2,
Starting the prebuild now or 20 turns ahead will still take some 30-40 turns to complete, in good time for us to reach Republic and get Golden Age in the Republic. (Please consult the spectrum vote "When" poll).

3.
Wonders are vulnerable structures to agree on in a demogame constitution, and with an Alternate Government structure in the experimential stage, we need to guard around long term agreements for wonder structures, as this is a lengthy and demanding process with many pitfalls.

4.
We cannot poll cities for long term builds that are not part of Fanatannia, that is spurious and undermines the decisions based on territorial integrity and could possibly serve as a hidden rider clause for non-polled expansion policies.

5.
Attempts to derail decisions by strategically using abstain to filibuster the polling process is not in the spirit of the Demogame, as it undermines the democratic decision-making process of the Demogame. As soon as we reach an agreement here, citizens are free to post a discussion and a poll on cancelling the wonder build, but do not sabotage the wonder alternative process. In other words, please do not abuse "abstain", but choose an alternative city that you prefer.

As we are on the very southern edge of this skinny continent, we may still need the additional naval reach to expand and maneuver quicker around the Coast and to secure outlying islands. Seafaring and Great Lighthouse allows for 5 move galleys and caravans. Early culture and getting an early Medieval GA is essential for sudden expansion in a critical stage.

NOTE: the build will start upon reaching Mapmaking, balanced for the outcome of the "When polls". Timing is also conditional to finish the Lighthouse in Republic, which is an adjustment negotiated betweent the TT Consul and the Domestic Consul, as well as Governor and Commercial Director. I expect the President to respect the wonder build.

I am withholding my vote at this time because it is still too early to be decided. The Strategic issues of war and expansion must be decided first. Culture decisions cannot be made in a vacuum. The problem is that both Donsignia and Camelot already have Strategic decisions made regarding what they will be doing (Military and Settlers).

We need to let the Term 2 government make some discussions and plans before we can lock in a Wonder city.

From the "when to build the lighthouse" poll:

This poll is already backed by this clear result, a complete approval poll.

Once again, this is misinformation in the guise of a poll which was constructed with built in bias. The poll essentially asks "should the first wonder that we build be the Lighthouse". It does not ask "should we build a wonder at all" which is a much more important question.

It is also incorrect to call my (and others') support for the never option "filibustering". Never has the most votes for a reason -- building the Lighthouse is a very bad idea. It's terrible strategy. On top of that, look at the date the previous poll was opened -- March 17th. At that point in time we did not know that we're on a pangaea. Now it's an even worse idea than it was before.

Neither "yes" nor "no" have a majority in this poll. The next Consul can repoll it if they want -- but for now we have neither an approved timeframe, nor an approved location.
