There are several recent threads with very good advice for players who try to climb up levels. Mistakes are nearly always the same: not expanding enough, no chopping, not putting food to the 1st ring of newly founded cities, building too many buildings, building marginal wonders...

I don't know. I am inexperienced. Maybe this is my 4th game only. And I have lost on Warlord 3 times already.
I wanted in this game to go an all offence game and end it early but then I find myself leaning towards building my empire rather than conquering others.
In my previous games, whenever I build an army, and attack a city, I lose. Their city defense is very difficult to overcome.

Yes, defenders have a huge advantage in this game. That's why you need to bring a lot of troops and to get enough troops, you need to chop.
Can we see the T150 save. I still have no idea why you stopped going on the attack here. Losing on Warlord you have to be doing something badly wrong. Especially given your start rushing an AI.
A decent stack on this game should be 20-30 strong. Warlord Ai will struggle to get a stack 10-15 strong. I really am not sure you have even tried to build a stack here and attack an Ai properly.
Spain had 1 city at 1320bc. China 3. With just warriors your power rating was almost double theres.
