The Civ4 AI is much better than the Civ3 version.
This may be true. However, I am confident that the new masters of Civ4 will find the gaps in the AI logic and drive a truck through them. It is just a matter of time.

That doesn't mean the game won't be more popular than Civ 3 - it probably will be.

AI is always gonna suck lads. I'm afraid the only real option is to play with strictly humans.

I honestly believe that playing with AI results in lower quality gameplay and therefore is a waste of time. The only reason i've done it so much in the past was perfect my gameplay for the day I am finally let out of my cage unto the online battlefield.

That's right people, i've been waiting a long time for what's soon about to happen due to my recent purchase of Civilization III: Complete. The only problem is that being a poor college student for the first time has allowed me to have my phone disconnected very easily so I am no longer able to access the internet to play my game.

And if it weren't for my slow ass computer I would play Civ IV, and I would play Huge maps. But some of us don't have that luxury. We can't afford the million dollar machine it's going to take to play a massive yet fun as hell map on Civ IV. That's just not realistic, but I will tell you one thing, look for me on the Civ III tiny map battlefield because anything people, is better than the lifewasting quality of a good 1 human 7 AI game of any Civilization I, IV, whatever, i'm not wasting my time with their bull**** tactics. Learning how to beat the computer on three consecutive Civilization versions so I can finally realize i'm probably not going to be able to play Civ IV in my lifetime. Listen, my laptop (The cheapest available anywhere I could find that would meet the requirements for my course) is running low on battery and I forgot my cord at home. No I can't go get it with my car. I don't jhave that crap.

Peace

zerksees has a point, that the AI is predictable, no matter how advanced, and can be used to ones advantage if exploited right (not really exploited, just toyed with honorably).

Word Up.

Peace

I picked the wait for the expansion packs. By then I might have a computer that can handle Civ 4.

Play Civ3 until I can afford to get Civ4...
My comp is awesome!

I have no upgrade issues- im waiting for the price drop

My computer's fine and I have enough money to buy IV. I just can't stand playing overly buggy or unbalanced games. I'm content to stick with III until the consensus on IV is that it is a decent game.

Have to agree with zerksees on this one.

Plus, as others have said, I have so much more to accomplish in C3C:)

My computer can't run Civilization IV, so I haven't bought it. I'll keep playing Civ3 until I upgrade my computer and then we'll see. I have SimCity 4 and The Sims 2, but I still play SimCity 3000 and The Sims -- and I play them more than I do their sequels.

Who voted option 4, I mean your a Civ Fantics member, aren't you?

I, personally, love my computer because of the GeForce FX card I just got as a gift. Now if only I could get Civ4 as a gift... I don't have the money right now! Dang.
