in my current game, I captured territory that contained Ivory. There's already a camp in the tile, I've built a road to and into the tile. But the game refuses to grant me the resource.

Not fair....

No answer here, but note you do not need to create a road to a resource to claim it.

Post a screenie with your mouse hovering over the ivory, for starters.

You can see two tiles with Ivory. One has been highlighted with the mouse. The other is just right and to the top of Akwasasme. Funny thing is that the game refuses to admit I have Ivory. Must be the world-wide ban on the trade of Ivory :P

Next place to look:

Mouse over your happiness, and make sure it's not actually there.

If it's not there, check your active trade agreements.

That's how i saw I didn't have Ivory.

I will out of curiosity, but since I did not initiate any such trade (I mean, I am getting long in the tooth, but I'd remember :P), unless the game carries over the former owner's own trades, then we're back at square one. :)

Resource counting does seem to have some issues. See this post.

Thanks.

I suspected that. :)

Still is a fun game tho. Does this mean that if I find more Ivory, I may as well forget developing it?

Interesting. First I've heard of that bug. Don't recall encountering it in a game yet.

Most missing resources are "Oops, a barb spooked my worker the turn before he finished the improvement, and I thought it was done" and "Oops, forgot I traded that".
