Which Civs are your Nemesis??

It is very obvious that Babylon are the most dangerous, when it comes to long term strategy. They always get techs quicker and are always in front with culture. This in turn allows them better forces and therefore are more prone to attacks.

the indians are my nemesis, they were the first civ to sneak attack me...now they are in every game i play and i kick their arse everytime

other than that, its the germans

Babylon and Egypt. I simply always end up next to them. Germany too, because they're so damn agressive.

Even Xerxes?

OMG yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! :vomit:
Sneak attack with immortals! [pissed]
Beatme in tech race!
MA's, wonder stealing, TE's, lux stealing, tech stealing con artists!

Ok, they'renot that bad. :p

This arguement comes up all the time; who is the worst enemy.

And i keep insisting that I think it is based upon who u r playing at the time.
For example if you play England, the US always seems to like you and France is always a bloody royal pain in the ass.
Or if you play the Aztecs, Spain seems to really not like you at all.
Or if you play Germany, Russia is always a pain for you, and visa versa for Russia.

And in your theory, what if you play the US ? I guess the Iroquois won't like you much...

I was about to make other witty sarcams but I guess anyone can figure them out ;)

Seriously, I don't think RL diplomatics are implemented in the game...

This is not a theory.. This is true.. It is in a manual...
That is why Civilization has all those cultural groups..
Civs in the same cultural group are less annoyed with each other than civs in different groups..
And i believe there is an article somewhere in this site.. probably war academy but i am not sure

Generally Jerxes is a bad opponent, especially if you are not scientific. However, who you play as makes a world of difference.

There are civ 'brotherhoods' that have better relations - european, meso-american, eastern, ...

Also, the preferred government for your civ may not agree with you opponent.

All of this is in the Cilopedia, isn't it?

I am playing Continents Epic Emperor game as Theodora of Byzantium...
I own a continent and on the other continent is evenly divided between Persians and Ottomans and those are the guys really tough to play against. (The rest of civs were annihilated). Imagine the both are scientific and
Well, I researched Military Traditions first and the next turn I sold it to both of them.... Next turn i declared war against ottomans and signed MA with persia...
I didn't make a single shot at this war... It was my big suprise when some 15 to 20 + turns later Persia was left with a single continent and some more little island cities... I bet that was job of Sipahis.... All i wanted to do is to cripple AI in constant wars but Persia lost way too soon... Although it was fun to watch them anyways.

When Persia ou Zulus have room to expand (and Persia gets its precious Iron) they are a pain in the ass.

The impis are so useful and cheap, and I feel that strongly in levels where the AI has production advantages.

The Japanese. I dunno....every single game I play, even if they're halfway across the world they still hate me and want to destroy me!!

I don't like any civ a part from the one that I am playing
That's why, although I always start out with the best intentions I always end up with extermination victory

I don't like the French because they tend to build wonders before I do.
I don't like the Indians because later on in the game, they attack you as soon as you sign a RoP.

for me aztecs and persians especially persians they are the war machines of the game ı think

I have quite a few:

Zulu
Chinese
Persians
Aztecs
Germans
Mongols
Spanish
English
Incans
Mayans
Hittittes

Babylonians... being the cop-out that I am, I like playing as the Persians the best, and I do culturally-linked starting positions. That means I always end up with the Babylonians as an uncomfortably powerful next-door neighbor.

This may sound very strange but for me it is the French.. and the German's which may not sound so strange.
They always seem to hate me when i play them!
Damn Joan...
