Heavily modified, but then I'm modified all of the original ones. Napoleonic still rules!!!

It's real shame that Mesoamerica is so underrated, though Middle ages is still my favourite.Originally posted by Balam
Ouch. Looks like the Mesoamerican civs are taking a beating in the polls out there. Ah well, I voted Mesoamerica. How can you not like all the sacrifices, different wonders, cool music? I guess I'd fall into the Type 2 category--Age of Discovery is great too if you play the Maya or Inca (very tough, got a one-city cultural victory (Regent) at Chichen Itza with the Spaniards having taken EVERYTHING). Sengoku rocks no matter who you play, but for some reason I hated the Napoleon one. As for the Middle Ages, once again, great to play the underdog (I was the Cordobans, took over most of Europe and Africa)!

Tranquility said:My least favorite is middle ages...i just really hate the idea, the units, and the civs(arabs in spain...what the) and the obligation to conquer jerusalem to deliver the treasure.
How about you?

Tavenier said:Indeed. The Arabs conquered most of Spain in 711. The Reconquista of the Iberian peninsula was in the same year in which Columbus got in the New World, 1492. So the Arabs were in Spain (and Portugal) for over 7 centuries, but the later part of those they only ruled a small part of Spain, known as Granada.
I don't think you can say the Arabs ruled it better. That's like comparing apples with pears! (it this a saying in English? it is in Dutch...)
