Glad to see lots of people around 30 ;) Seems I 'm not the only one struggling with a wife to play Civ ;) .
I'm a fire dragon (in chinese zodiac).
Ow, I first played CIV when I was 15 on the super fast 486.
Now I'm senior in IT business

1990 here. Exactly 175 years after Napoleon's defeat in Waterloo. For the 90's!

Guess all those 80's mullets were doing more than just turning heads ;)

30 here too (in a few days!) My girlfriend is partly understanding, cuz it's ok to relax and just waste time sometimes, and partly, she thinks it's SICK that I can spend many hours every evening (lately) on a game! (I keep telling her it's just for now, until I get tired of it... which I hope is true)

I'm actually surprised there were so many people older than me playing civ! I kind of thought most gameplayers wouldn't have time or interest for gaming anymore when they get beyond 30... Fantastic how people from all ages really, come to this site! :goodjob:

Sept 1965...

been involved in CIV since I spotted a copy on Sandra Bullocks character's bookshelf in "the Net"! - the only good thing that came out of that flick!

Add me to the geezers... I just fall into the fifties (1959). Hmmm... I have kids older than some of you (17 and 15)!

The tail-end of '89.

1984... adding to the majority. :D

Wow, I remember back in June of last year, when I made my first post. And this thread's still around!

Grr, the nineties have fallen down to fourth. They were in third last time I checked!

Ah, so this is what nostalgia feels like. :p

As I'm reading some of these posts, I just thought of a line I heard and its true here:

"I've got t-shirts older than most of you!"

Love this game! :crazyeye:

Ok, that's funny. :)

Of course, I do think that most of my shirts are older than a lot of people here. :(

Yes...I am a child of 70s, a teenager of the 80s. And...I happen to like some of that 80s music!!! LOL ;)

I can't believe there are at least 2 people old than I am; do nursing homes have internet connections? I demand verification of age. Where were they when they heard about Pearl Harbor being bombed? Who were Wheeler and Woolsey? Who was Hopalong's oldtimer sidekick and what were his three most common colorful comments? What time did Kukla, Fran, and Ollie come on? :mischief:
