Which game am I playing? (no seriously)

The link I use to play the game is called "Launch Medieval II Total War". The path it leads to is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\medieval2.exe"
Is this normal medieval II or is it the Kingdoms expantion pack? Also, how do I find out what version I have? I'm sure that there are patches for this game and I would like to learn which patch version I'm using.
The reason I don't know is I bought both Medieval II and Kingdoms together and so I'm not sure which version I'm using. Thanks.

I'm assuming it would be normal MTW2 as Kingdoms has a specific mod launcher.
If you have the gold edition then I don't think Kingdoms has its own 'Grand Campaign' like vanilla.
As for finding out patch numbers, I think it is under options. At least that is where Rome's is and Rome and Medieval are effectively the same game.

The Kingdoms executable is called "kingdoms.exe".
