What type of comedians do you find funnier? Comedians like Jim Carey and Jack Black who are very animated and makes you laugh through their actions, or comedians like Jay Leno who are very intelligent and makes you laugh through what they say. (sorry run-on sentence)
Intelligent comedians, though that's not where I'd place Jay Leno. My favorite comedians are Dennis Miller, Bill Maher, Greg Behrendt, and Mitch Hedberg. Anyone who knows who they are should have a pretty good idea what kind of comedy I prefer.
I can laugh about dumb jokes and smart jokes. Buy I cannot laugh over hate jokes or - especially - jokes where the comedian and the audience conspire to ridicule someone who actually knows more then them
example:
if the black boxes in airplanes cannot be destroyed by a crash - why do they not make the entire airplane out of the same amterial? Hahahahaha!
see why this joke is dumb?
I find all comedians funny as long as they do not employ in that kind of 'humor'
I think there are about 247 comedians on this planet who make that joke. And yes, it really does deserve this:
When people hear it and ask me about it (as I am an engineer) I explain to them it's not that the black box is made of a stronger material than the plane, it's the dimensional design that makes it stronger. If they used the same design principles on teh plane itself, it'd never get off the ground.
And more important, it doesn't matter if the plane stays in one piece or not in a crash, the impact is what kills and injures.

Both are good, depending on what mood and company you're in. I think the funniest scene I've seen in a long time was a scene in Bruce Almighty, where he made his colleague act stupid on TV. Although the scene itself isn't all that funny afterwards, I remember crying while seeingit. I also love the first Austing Power movie.
In the long run, these kind of jokes mostly get annoying though, so intelligent jokes are usually the best.
I don't like jokes making fun of people in a bad situation, like making fun of Taliban women while their country is bombed away (Letterman comes to mind ) or handicapped people, but making fun of leaders or public figures can be quite fun.
I kinda like a combo. My favorite comedians are Conan O'Brien, Wanda Sykes, Jim Gaffigan... People like that. Now thinking agout it, I suppose I prefer my comedians to be intelligent.
I know, Leno isn't really that funny. I used to like him when I was a kid, but now his jokes are so strained. I mean, you can hear the struggle to tell them and the punch-lines are so flat. The just fall with a thud.
I thought the same thing as well.
I like comedians like Clive James, who have a more less obvious style of humour.
Sienfeild is funny but he had a strict formula that gets boring very easily.
Definitely goofy slap-stick. They are the like originators of the format. Did you know: All of the Three Stooges died early deaths because of how much they hit each other in the head. In live shows, they'd hit each other extra hard to make the right sound. Creepy, but informative.
Both kinds of humor are good, if properly applied. However, there's also the completely-idiotic-or-bad-taste humor (i.e. Zoolander, Dude where's my car), which is never funny.
I worked at a local comedy club in Toronto when Norm had just turned professional.
He was without a doubt the best standup comic I have ever seen, what he's done on television and film has been okay, but to have seen him then was someting different altogether.
He was a really nice guy then, but apparently after he left Canada and became famous he's turned into a complete and utter (to use one of Norm's favourite words) knob.

You KNOW that this is, err, supposed to be a JOKE, you see...
I mean, it's not a SERIOUS question...
And back on topic : I do laugh at dumb jokes, provided they're not TOO dumb. Jim Carrey is RARELY funny, to say the least. Intelligent jokes are better anyway
