Nothing wrong with Linux, and if you know a geek (like I am) it would be a great present. But imagine trying to give it to someone who isn't a computer geek. Their first reaction would be "What's Linux?", then after you explained it, their next reaction to it would be "You gave me a FREE operating system as a Christmas present?" So, if you know a computer geek, it would be a great present, otherwise, not that great.

Nothing wrong with Linux, and if you know a geek (like I am) it would be a great present...So, if you know a computer geek, it would be a great present, otherwise, not that great.

All of the computer geeks I know already have Linux.
