The Maya's ability is awesome. You get 4-5 maybe even six extra every game. If you rush for theology then even Babylon would have trouble catching up with them.

I like Willem the best (gotta love his attitude - and SHOES! :D ), but Boudicca, Gustavus, Maria Theresa and Theodora are all a close second place for me.

Have to agree. His shoes are very stylish.

Voice acting counts too, or only the actual art of the leader and the background?

I really can't choose. Except for Haile and maybe William, I really liked all of them. They're in a completely new standard.

I voted for Netherlands. His leaderscreen isn't the most impressive, but it seemed like the most natural to me. Plus, he seems like a guy with whom I'd enjoy taking a coffee. ;)

Theodora is way too over the top in my opinion, I believe that it's getting so many votes because of the "new" factor, and because most of us guys think with our gonads:blush::blush:. Gustavus Adolphus though I have a harder time understanding it. The proportion will probably tamper out as more people vote.

I like the celts with boudicca throwing her sword around but i agree theodora looks a little oh what the heck she looks like a prostitute with to much makeup i like the surroundings but theodora is just too much although i wish i could vote for the huns too i like how he yells at you. My quote thing is glitched

Well, Theodora was a prostitute, basically, before she became Empress. For me it was a toss up between her and Boudica (mostly because I really like Byzantium), and I knew that Theodora'd be getting more votes, so I went for the Celts.
And I was voting based on leaderscreen animation/voice acting/imagery.
I wish that Pacal spoke more in his introduction. If he did, I probably would've voted for him.

She was an actress, not a prostitute. Now there arguably wasn't much of a difference back then, but it's worth pointing out.

I'm going with Boudica. Mostly for the voice acting. I wouldn't want to mess with her!

I do like Theodora's. And having the Hagia Sophia in the background is a nice touch. But I'm voting for Boudicca - she does look awesome and badass, but mainly because I'm just so gosh darn thrilled that she's speaking Welsh! Thanks Firaxis! :hatsoff:

I also really like Pacal's, as out of all 3 Central/South American leaders, he's the one who looks least caricature-like. Which is impressive, given his outfit.

I voted Carthage. I think the scenery is beautiful and stately [and it looks like I am the only voter for Dido?]. I don't understand why there are so many people who voted for Theodora. Her appearance looks easily the tackiest of all the leaders (background a bit better). I am actually not enthusiatic for the Maya screen (but I love the Civ and a leader screen doesn't bother me much).

To be fair, given what is known of Theodora, it's at least an honest representation of her. It doesn't feel wrong or like a forced inclusion of eye candy; I think it fits her as a historical person.

More so than Catherine and her boobs, anyway

I feel bad for maria theresa:( no votes for her

I'm most impressed by Pacal feathered hat and the feeling of height. Second position is Dido because the terrace at night is a surprising choice. Third is obviously Theodora for all is blending together seamlessly.
