Everyone's talking about the new civs and leaders, but the veterans deserve some respect too. :king:

My vote has to go to Ramesses II.
His UB now lasts much longer and the new wonder Shwedagon Paya plays perfectly to his talents. I've never been a fan of the Spiritual trait, but the thought of Stonehenge, the Pyramids, and Shwedagon Paya all under Ramesses is making me change my mind.
If only I could find some stone...

Agustus. All the complaints about him getting nerfed but he is now Industrious. Building a ton of wonders in Rome, ala OBSOLETE's game (The situation just was good for it) and ready to build the Forum and parthanon in another city changing him into a mini Ind/PHIL leader, at least until chemistry.

^^^ Interesting insight, madscientist!

One that is improved is Hannibal. Better UU, effectively better UB, and better Monuments.

Alexander is quite imporoved too, I dig the new Phalanx a lot (although I play it with Pericles, but he 's new).

The new phalanx is crazy good. (Well I also seem the get the shock upgrade random event almost every time lol)

If Industrial is his one trait, what is the other?

Also, what level were you playing at? I am curious to know if Obsolete's methods can still work on the hard levels with BTS. I don't see why not though.

^^Augustus is Industrious/Imperialistic

I agree with all the above - Ramesses (and, to a lesser extent Hatty), Augustus and Alexander all got a solid buff from BtS.

Prince level, Marathon speed, huge maps. Big/little (continents mixed with isle changes) random all else

I have essentially used OBSOLETEs Method os spamming wonder, settling most GP (I have a GS, GE, GM ready for corps) although I used one for a golden age (I have the Mauseleum built). I have setteld other cities (12 total) as I normally would and cottage as I see appropriate. Overall, he rocks I have gotten 17 great people (plus the GM from economics), the first being a great spt which I setteld. My spies keep stopping missions, I keep one in each city and divy the EPs I get, seams OK. Currently researching physics which I will get first (I know by espionage), SOL taking 35 turns, very minor wars which I declared, never really had to use Prats. Noone seams to want to declare war on me since I have the GW and statue of Zues (I think) even though I am low on the power graphs.

Agustus rocks with industrious and the UB!!!
