I actually like the overall aesthetic (the monotone UI elements and the font) but dear god pretty much everything else is a disaster. For me, the Tech Tree is the most unforgivable. After seven iterations, you gotta wonder who was okay with removing the ability to click ahead in the tree. Even with fonts cranked up to the largest setting and interface set to adaptive, some UI elements are literally impossible to read. I can't tell you how many units I lost because the cheesy and microscopically small health bars looked full rather than just above empty. I hate that instead of linking to the Civlopedia the right mouse button's primary purpose in the menus seems to be to close all windows. When there is a wonder animation there is no way to access the Civlopedia or even basic info about what the wonder does. I could go on and many others have. No doubt a lot of this will be fixed by the devs given more time and even more so by modders, but for now it's playable only with a great deal of pain.

Everything needs to be fixed, the UI was made to be played on a mobile phone at best, it feels like this is the first time they saw the UI on a PC or a bigger screen

Almost every aspect deserves a polish, but the loading screen with the civ and leader intro is just ugly, a lot of text clustered together and a big blank space.

The lack of information is a travesty. Now I understand why Potato was getting so emotional in his review. Like it’s shocking how poorly the information in conveyed, or more often not conveyed whatsoever.

Changing my vote to:
Tooltips, highlighting (not just events), city screen

(Having fun otherwise though!)
