Which unrevealed(likely included) civ you are looking forward most to and want to be implemented in some super cool way?

For me it's England. I think Civ 5 did pretty good job, but as we are getting a surprising Japan leader we cant be sure what type of England they are giving us this time.

I hope they have some naval element but get some industrial or spy theme in. And Churchill!

Also hope that Germany surprises all positively, Civ 3, 4 and 5 versions were all boring..

I'm looking forward to the version of Germany that isn't in vanilla :p

I'm also looking forward to a really fleshed out Inca, and South East Asian civ. The khmer could rock this new uniques system. :goodjob:

As a introductory note, Civ VI America is darn near my ideal of what an America civ should look like.

For England, I'd like to see a more Medieval version with no naval focus. Henry V might be fun.

For Spain, I feel like a religion focus with Isabella is ideal.

Germany, I want to see more economics and diplomacy and less warmongering. Also, a U Boat UU instead of the Panzer.

France, I want Louis XIV and culture, culture, culture. Also, no frigging Musketeers.

Rome, I'm not sure. Just not the bland infrastructure bonus from Civ V.

Greece, keep the city-state focus, lose the warmonger personality.

Ottomans, I doubt they are in, but I would like to see a city-state focus of some sort. The new name for city-state alliances, Suzerainty, comes from the Ottoman Empire after all. Perhaps they can more easily flip the city-state allies of civs they are at war with. IIRC, that is possible.

Arabia, I am content that they keep an economic focus.

Russia, Peter the Great please

Ottomas were also boring in Civ 5. If done well they could be very distinct and interesting civ.

I'm also happy how America turned out. Loved the B-17 in civ 5 though!

I hope for India not having Gandhi (chances are slim) and not sucking like in civ4-5 (maybe this will happen).

In civ5 india had horrible ability (iirc it was at the bottom of UA elimination threads, of all 43 civs) which on top of that was basically "overpopulation - the trait" :p , bad unique unit and bad unique building, it was also the only civilization of 43 which had negative aspect of UA and negative parts of introduction (iirc it mentioned "great poverty" lol).
In civ4 its unique unit was "fast worker", nuff said.
And don't even mention Gandhi, I genuinely hate him (no, seriously, beyond joke meme "I hate him nuking me").

I also hope for Frederick as ruler of Germany, Catherine remaining as ruler of Russia (yeah there were many other great Russian leaders - but she is so cool, also was my fav leader of civ5), somebody other than Caesar or Octavian as Roman emperor (preferred - Traian, Marcus Aurelius), somebody other than Alexander for Greece (although I don't have any better example :( ) and Persia having elements of its empires other than Achaemenid one (preferably Safavids).

My money is on Churchill. They keep talking about big personalities and it doesn't get much bigger than the British Bulldog. Really, He's like the British equivalent of Teddy Roosevelt. In fact I hope He's in more than any other leader just so I can have Teddy and Winnie in the same universe together - two of my favorite leaders of western civilizations in the same game? Yes please.

Plus I trust civ6 would probably make him look amazing.

Sweden/Denmark/Vikings have a lot of flavor and could be done a lot better than they were in Civ V. At least Sweden had an interesting UA. But Scandinavia has so much impact on Europe and I'd love to play them and not just be bored.

They probably won't be in Vanilla though

My 2 favorite factions are usually Rome and Germany. Germany had an appallingly poor design in Civ 5. Their civ traits were just so bland, Germany didn't really feel unique or that their gameplay was any different because of their bonuses.

I liked Civ 3's traits for Germany being "Scientific & Militaristic". I hope they have a more Industrious/Scientific feel and benefit about them.

Agree with England ... and I do think their uniques should reflect their role in pioneering industrialism and their power and influence in the 19th century.

Speaking of Churchill, do you think a leader could be seen puffing a cigar/pipe in Civ? Would it alter the age rating too much, as smoking is becoming more and more controversial in media.

I want to see France, preferably led by Napoleon or Robespierre, with a massive focus on culture and an AI agenda that leads them to be hostile towards Civs using a different government type to properly represent the alien nature of revolutionary France for the other players of Europe.

If they go with Churchill (or Victoria, Gladstone, etc.) with an industrial focus, I hope they'll at least have the sense to call the civ "Great Britain" rather than England.

If they're still going with a pre-Union England, I hope they don't go all-in on making them purely naval. A naval UA would be all right, and a ship of some kind for a UU maybe. But I love the idea someone posted in a thread about Agendas that the English ruler's agenda would be to prefer to ally with civs smaller than the largest civ against the largest civ, and to switch allegiance if their allied civ ends up larger than the previously-largest civ. That kind of focus would be perfect to represent the way England historically tried to maintain a balance of power in Europe.

It would raise the game's rating and China apparently does not like (or allow?) smoking or drinking in its games. I know League of Legends had a few characters specifically modified to meet Chinese cultural standards.

Then again it looked like Tobacco might be a resource so maybe they wouldn't be worried?

Anyone but Robespierre please!

Robespierre Leader Unique: Government and policy changes cost population instead of gold.

Looking forward to a dominant Persia that will boss wayward city-states. With the 300 movies serving up a big personality for Xerxes on a plate. The uniques would have to include Immortals of course but beyond that maybe pontoon bridges over the Hellspont? It would make my head spin designing these uniques.

I'd like to see Germany under Frederick II (fine, he was king of Prussia, but it's close enough for Civ IV and it's close enough for me) that is at least as focused on culture and philosophy as it is on warmongering.

I really don't want to see the same old Greeks under Alexander with a weird mix of classical and hellenistic elements. I'd like to see Pericles, Cleisthenes, or Themistocles lead the way (it should definitely be an Athenian, please not a Spartan) and have the civ be culturally focused, with perhaps a secondary naval focus. I would also like something recognizing the Greek invention of democracy. Perhaps a UA allowing them to access this government type before other civs can?

Generally, I want a Greek civ that recognizes that this remarkable people laid the foundation for Western philosophy, art, literature, drama, science, and political theory. That's a lot to capture in one civ, but I think the developers should at least take a stab at it. The Greeks in Civ V reflected none of that.

I want them to portray the Mongols really well as they are my favourite Civ,

It will probably be Genghis Khan again but I am really hoping for Kublai Khan or being really bold and choosing someone like the exceptional female warrior Khutulun or Queen Mandukhai the Wise.

Kublai Khan was an extraordinary ruler who could be so much more than a straightforward, simple warmonger. I'm hoping that Firaxis is creative when designing the Mongol civ. :)

I'd like Russia to be led by Alexander II, his UA being Revolution from above: policy switch cost cut in half. Catherine is good, but Russia has many other great leaders. Ivan the Terrible would also be nice, he is not my cup of tea though.

So I'm just gunna go out there and say I would be wildly surprised if Churchill ever turns up in a civ game again. He is really not a popular figure in the former British empire anymore, not in small part due to his rampant racism and his involvement in all sorts of dodgy things in colonial Africa.

If England is in I could see Alfred the great or Rochard the Lionheart. Or if Britain is in, maybe Victoria or for an out there choice D'Israeli

A James or a Charles would be great fun though :D
