While We Wait: Part 2

Perf you know i gave up on OT, and therefore 'Keeper position a long time ago.
Yeah, you gave up when I totally mocked you into oblivion.

An there's no hard feelings, just funny to see you here.. like a fish outta water. You really should join a NES, really prove your deviousness.. Thinking about that.. why did we never get Simon involved?
I'm not devious, just jokey jerky. If there any positions that require joke jerks, I'm your man.

Could you read my NES before dissing it?
I read one post in it. It wasn't a masterpiece, therefore the claim that every post it contains is a masterpiece is false.

As much as like your spamming in the OT at times, I have to ask what you stand to gain from what you are doing right now? I would be more than happy for you to be a NESer with serious intentions but it looks you are going to far with the spam, please cut it out.

Just wanna see how long it lasts and if I can get people to admit being entertained by my antics.

You can't be an NESer with humorous intentions?

Damn.

You guys should make like a "funny NES" or somefin'.

Id love to spend time explaining how you could, but i don't believe your here for any other reason than to diversify your spam.

We are a different and therefore, for the moment, a desireable audiance. Unlike OT which thrives on wit, cleverness and speed, NESers are more deliberate and thoughtful most of the time. It is the nature of the game after all. When he slows down Perf is quite capable of thoughtful dialog and if he knew a bit more about NESing, he could make interesting contributions to some of the design or even historical discusssions.

But even after the novelty wears off Perf, do come back from time to time. :)

BJ.. can you see the good in all?

The ZPNES series was far funnier than superNES!!1!!...

And the suggestion that NESes lack humour is, in itself, hilarious.

Pretty much; there is no act so unkind that that it does not present the opportunity for something better. And in Perf's case, behind the bravado, there is a truly interesting and creative person.

Seconded!

The Leprechauns are angered by the belittlement of their existance and wonder if this OT must be subdued with force!

Well I can diversify into more long-winded silliness if there are openings.

It's been done before. Anyway, I get the feeling that Perfection isn't waiting for an update or a diplomatic response, so I'm not sure why this discussion is being held here. :p
I'm waiting for dinner.

No I couldn't cuz history is kinda boring for me. I'm more into current events and stupid scifi crap. If I can do funny stuff there I'd like to

I agree! I liked my spot in SheepNES even though I kinda lost track of it after getting banned like a crap ton of times. I wouldn't mind joining something like that if I can do mostly nonserious stuff.

The Leprechauns are angered by the belittlement of their existance and wonder if this OT must be subdued with force!
I'd put 'em in a sack and drown 'em in a river if they ever tried.

Nah, dont bother. It only gives you a headache

Which is good training if he's going to continue and extend his raids into our territory, which he seems to be doing (hey, look, he just attacked your birthday thread as well!). ;)

You can't be an NESer with humorous intentions?

If only that were true.

Although, most people that provide the comic relief around these parts do so accidentally.

BJ.. can you see the good in all?

In all due honesty I can't see the bad. Either he'll have to try harder or he will be added to the list of "parts of that force that always wants evil and always does good."

Try Carmen's NES, then. ;)

No comment. Only a smile.

Are we actually getting upset/offended? If LINES is based solely on the opinions of others (which is the only reason to bother arguing with Perfection on its value), and if the majority opinion is that LINES is good, then LINES must be good.

Unless the opinions of some are inferior to the opinions of others, in which case Perfection's must be worth an inestimably higher amount than the rest of "the others," as seemingly undue attention has been devoted to him for a humorous comment he made. As it is, Lucky made an inane exaggeration and was proven incorrect.

Also, I'm not entirely sure why people are taking this provocation seriously, or at least appearing to take it seriously. Perhaps I am merely misunderstanding. I admit, at least, that I find it entertaining. If it offends you, the only way to get it to stop is to not provide further fodder for comment. If you cannot ignore it, then you will only become a part of the entertainment. If you find it annoying, ignoring it is another good solution. If that is unacceptable, I suppose you could report it, but responding to it is not going to solve anything.

I realize I said "it" a lot in reference to Perfection/Perfection's antics. I blame sinful laziness and refuse to defend my decision. :p

If I found it annoying or offensive, I wouldn't be here talking with him, now, would I? I'm pretty sure most of the others here are likewise simply enjoying an opportunity to argue with a spam legend. :p

EDIT: Reno is lurking. Qucik, hide the thread! :p

The NES forum has its merits. Several fiftychatters also NES, and the NES forums are the most likely venue for seeing birdjaguar at his witty and silly best. Its also one of the easiest places to get PC, so if I ever decide to start going for PC I can just come here and spam a hundred posts a day or so completely under the radar. Of course, NES has its bad points as well (e.g. it keeps emoddon and a deluge of other unremarkable posters from leaving completely), but overall it aint a bad thing.

Several of my minions that happen to NES have tried getting me into it in the past, but it just doesn't tickle my fancy all that much. You guys probably wouldn't like it anyways if me and Perfy started NESing, because inevitably we'd come to completely control it, just like we did with the CFC chatroom scene. Plus, I can't direct my wit, intelligence, and humor too strongly in one place for very long, because if I do, everything just starts falling apart because nobody can handle how much of a hardcore sex pig I am.

Example: My creating a demogame RPG character resulted in:
1. me being banned and almost permbanned;
2. Giant mass PMs to all mods;
3. Big old mod meetings including a review of every post I've ever made
4. Lefty coming out of his slumber
5. The eventual creation of #fiftychat and the permanent killing of the CFC chatroom (its very much dead now)

There's more, but you get the idea!

What a great quote das, where is it from?

Goethe's Faust (slightly paraphrased), though to be honest I always associated it more with Bulgakov's [wiki]The Master and Margarita[/wiki], where it is used as an epigraph.

@Fifty- Actually, spamming to increase postcount (IMHO a stupid thing to do, postcount isn't really much of a status symbol compared to ones actions- look at Daftpanzer) here is a bad idea, it may bring an end to the low-moderation NES forum.

I more or less agree. Postcount is only worth bragging about when its > 20,000. Perf's achievement is just especially amazing because in addition to 30,000++ posts, he is also the highest quality poster around. As I only have around 6k, I have no intentions to ever "go for" PC.

However, were I ever to decide to go for PC, NES forum would be a perfect venue. There's very little moderation, so I could easily fly under the radar for awhile, and when the forum eventually got spammy enough to warrant increased mod attention, I wouldn't give a crap, because I don't care all that much about preserving the generally unremarkable spam that goes on here.

Don't use us for spam purposes. We have to regulate ourselves as if a mod takes the time to come here it usually means bans.
