White lines in graphics / smear on resources

Not totally, there's a newer driver, see here.
Would be great if you could test if that one removes the problem :), so that the other people don't maybe have to do it for nothing.

I had the same problems with multicolored streaks coming off animal resources. I downloaded the driver, and now it works like a charm. Thanks a bunch! :)

Hi, first time posting so sorry if I mess up on format or anything. Anyways, I just bought the Gods and Kings expansion and I'm having graphics problems with resources. Any moving resources (animals like foxes from fur or elephant from ivory) appear stretched into long weird lines. I looked at the solutions in these threads:

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=383630&highlight=resource+glitch

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=9668885&postcount=3

and they didn't work for me. Turning up terrain detail level and terrain tessellation level had no effect. The first screenshot is with max graphics settings and the second is with minimum.

My computer ran Civ V vanilla at low graphics settings without problem.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Hey Guys, not really sure what to do about this but loads of strange lines suddenly started appearing off every resource on every game file and even when a new one is made. Running Dx9 doesnt do this but DirectX11 worked before and i dont get why it isnt now.

Hey The_J,

I tried to install the drivers and the error message i get says: The computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.

Everything worked fine until the fall patch & i was hoping the hot fix would help, alas, smearing all over the place. If there was a way to turn off the horses & just use the photos, that would be awesome, i just want to play my game. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Checked for drivers... No new update... Loaded Civ5, works fine. WTH? Thanks! :D

Andddd they're back. They only seem to be congregating on the resource tiles that contain animals, the fish/seagulls are particularly bad.

Pesky Dell laptops *grmpf*.
So I assume you tried to install the generic Intel drivers, like it has been suggested before, yes? And that then led to the error message which you posted, correct?
If the other suggestion in the thread, to manually kick on the installation process (this one), did not work, then you're pretty lost, because Dell doesn't offer any remotely up to date driver for your system .

I might try to just manually get it. I went through Dell and pretty much wasted my time  surprise...I'm also hoping another patch can come on through and things will go back to normal. Thanks for your help, i just wanted to make sure i wasn't going crazy.

Doesnt seem like it wants to work :/ i'll see if one of the other drivers works though.

Nice to hear that it works now :hatsoff:.
Do you by any chance still remember what exactly you installed? Could be helpful for other members with the same setup :).

I don't think it's the graphics card. It's the update. I've been using the same computer for many many games of civ and this is the first I've has this problem
