I'm currently going to college to major in History as a proffesor or a teacher. Is there anyone else that is doing the same as me?

I completed a degree in history getting on for two years ago. but im not a history teacher.

I have a master degree. I teach, even if only part-time nowadays due to poor health.

I took a Master Degree course in Darwinist Function Theory and Civilization History as part of another program

I will be going in for such a degree once I enter my collage years

I'll probably apply for acceptance into a major program after I've finished my minor, unless I stop there and go for archeology instead...

American Studies....amounted to picayune bits and pieces of US history and society.

Became a newspaper photo department manager and now a state government IT security technician.

Its amazing what one can do with a college degree.....

I have a BA in history (specializing in military history) and an MBA (because that gets me a well-paying job).

I will either major OR minor in history, not sure which yet, it depends, I might want to major in something else that will pay enough money for me to be able to sit at home and read history all day! :D

As more WHAT history, if I pick a specialized area, it'll either be Chinese, Central Asian, German, Russian, or South East Asian history, maybe even Indian (Hindu!) history. It reallt depends if I learn Mandarin or not, obviously if I do I'll be all over Chinese history, but that depends on how good/bad/okay my college program for Mandarin is...

In short, everything about my life's future is vague and unsure!

I would like to do a masters degree in history at some point. My Ba was modular and so covered a rather random selection of topics.
In my first we had to do a module on European history from Rome to the present day(ish). Two modules on USA history from colonisation to present day(ish), a module called the making of the 20th century, which was late 19th century and 20th century history. and russian society in the 20th century. I also did 2 politics modules: britiish politics since 1945 and world politics since 1945.
In my 2nd year I did modern historiography 'the history of history', political communities in 18th century europe- concentrating on those that failed, the carolingians and the birth of europe, China 1914-78, the origins of totalitarianism: lenin and the party-state and a mini-dissertation which i did on the erosion of soviety democracy in the USSR.
in my 3rd year i did rethinking history (more historiography), the first russian revolution (1905), two modules on British fascism and a disseration on british fascism which i did about modernity and anti-modernity in BUF indeology.
I dont really like 'old' history.

I'm an english major right now...history is probably going to be my minor, although I'm thinking of changing my major to poli sci and double major in pyschology and minor in history.

Not sure yet though...although I should figure out soon since I'm almost done with my freshman year. (i'll be one who stays in college for six years before finally deciding what I want to do).

I've thought about it in the past but never really had the opportunity to do so until recently.

Yes. I'll be starting my History/Politics/Professional Education degree in September.

As a couple people may know, I have a BA in history from the University of Maryland. At the moment, I'm continuing with that theme by working on a Ph.D. in British History, with a special focus on the history of the British Empire. At the current rate, it should only take 4-5 more years to complete my doctorate. :crazyeye:
