Why are the posts in Model Parliament still not being counted towards post count? The reason I was given a while back was that most of the post in there were for voting. While that may at one point have been true, that is not the case now. Now there is far more discussion than voting. I kindly ask that this restriction be lifted. Thank You.

PS don't turn this into a thread about weather or not we should even have post counts; or anything of that nature.

mmer! Although I have to admit my post count would drastically increase if posts were counted there. :hmm:

Perhaps because Thunderfall has such warm regard and respect for aspiring poltiticians?

 well, it's a problem for newcomers really interested. They do not have the minimum of 50 posts needed to participate. This rule excists to prevent people from coming once, joining a party and never return again. Now they cannot reach the 50 posts in a fair timespan because they spend a lot of time in the Model Parliament Forum....where posts are not counted!

Cause its a house-o-spam :) :p

That part of the model pariliament is against forum rules. No elitism, and I'm surprised that TF hasn't said anything about it already.

IMHO, the orginal RPG posts weren't counted either, and still are not counted (even though that forum is archieved now).

I wish TF would make the orginal RPG posts count again, I want to know my *real* post count.

No, as you can participate, there are just some rules about who can vote on what, which is the whole purpose of the game. Still the 50 post rule will probably be dropped, but it is allright that people should already have had posted in other sections of the site, as during the first election someone told a whole lot of people to sign up just to rig the election.

I mean, not everyone can be President although that is also elitist in a way. ;)

And the deactivation of the post count was done because there are alot of very short and very off topic posts in that forum, though admittedly less than in the early days.

As the one organizing most of the voting and so on I probably already have hundreds of posts in that forum and I can understand that many of them are not really comparable with an On Topic post in the Civ or Colloseum areas.

After all it is a courtesy of the TF to host the game on CFC and it is not a core part of the forum.

Don't know why you said that...

The Model Parliament forum was created with the understanding that posts in there would not count toward postcount, just like the Civ3 Demo Game RPG forums...

Didn't realize that. Oh well, the question was more of a curiosity and requst, rather than a compliant.

Well, technically the Civ3 Demogame RPG forums were created without the understanding that postcount won't count, post count did not actually stop "counting" untill acouple months afterwards.
