Why can't I see mud/blood?

Im my Med II battles, I am totally unable to see blood and mud on my units. Why? My settings (all of them) are on very high. I had the game since November last year, and its taken till now to complain.

I think somewhere blood is turned off (or maybe it isn't in it.) but of courtse there's mud, otherwise you'd hav eblack holes in the terrain.

Multitexturing not working properly? Might be a driver issue.

There's a mod out there (that is used in alot of other mods) that turns the blood up a lot, so after someone takes several hits thy are soaked in blood (but it works really well and doesn't look any faker than most anything else in the game). Captain2 thinks they look like zombies sometimes, and I have to agree sometimes, especialy with the berbers that have white head-things. So if you are using vanilla, try a mod.
