Why did God create atheists?

OrpheusPrime said:
So he could smote them of course. lol
.

I am guessing that atheists are just fallen belevers.

Free Will according to Christian beliefs.

God did no such thing, there is no God!!!!!!! God is a stupid idea created by idiotic humans thousands of years ago who needed an excuse to why that rock fell off of the ledge. There answer the Wind God, and later it evolved into a less primative belif that there is one god who controls all, which is still false!!!!! God did not create ME!!!!!!

For the benefit of free will. If he made everyone believers, then we would be simplified angels (I think).

I have trouble believing that God would sacrifice the well-being of his creation for the sake of "free will."

Because he could.

What in Humans genetic make up, or in there enviroment that forced them to belive that a grand poo bar (or what ever his name is) created the universe

Exactly. Except free will isn't compatible with omniscience, but try convincing a devout believer that God cannot be omniscient while giving humans free will.

Ok, I believe you, but tone it down a bit dude, I don't want this thread to get closed. :)

the real answer is he didn't, but since that's not funny

it's because sometimes clingy people annoy him. and since he got himself crucified it's easy to see he's also masochistic

 Best answer so far! :goodjob:

God didn't create athiests. The Devil has corrupted human beings and turned them into such!

The old "blame it on the devil" routine. That doesn't wash either, as it was God who created the devil.

You are thinking 4-dimensionally there. God has at least 2, and perhaps an infinite number of dimensions of time, in which to operate. God already exists in the year 3005, 6005, 9005, etc. This is why He knows the choices of our free will; He is already far beyond the time the choice was made. Knowing said choice, and fixing said choice, are 2 different things. But try convincing a devout disbeliever in the supernatural of this...

That assumption is one that demands a certain belief. Not even all christians could agree that god is already knows our choices.

take it the next step man. he created the devil to express his self-repressed evil desires. goes to say that since he created man in his image, some part of him hates himself - as people often do. so he created atheists to add that balancing factor to his creation.

Yeah, great. Explain away the problem of evil with a bit of the old "abracadabra." How very convenient.
