Why I shouldn't Rule The World.

I'd make it illegal for anyone under age 18 to play or watch any organized sports. Obviously broadcasting them over public airwaves would be banned, and paying athletes or coaches would be illegal. The law would basically treat athletes like we now treat sex workers. (Sex work would be legalized though.)

I'd implement public healthcare, but only make it available to those who have never once in their lives been drunk or willingly use any recreational drugs (including tobacco/nicotine products).

The official language would be a newly constructed one that is closely based on Classical Latin but with more unique case endings, to eliminate any confusion about whether a word like "Agricolae" was in the nominative plural or genitive/dative/locative singular. It would also include pronounceable quotation marks that can be declined so that you could clearly quote any phrase while treating it as a word in any Case.

I'd get rid of birth right citizenship, both jus soli and jus sanguinis. Anyone from any background could become a citizen only by voluntarily signing a contract after completing some basic tests on subjects relevant to being a good citizen. They'd need to show they are competent at economics, calculus, statistics, logic, reading comprehension, etc... all in the new Latin-based official language.

I'd restore Mount Rushmore to how it looked before any faces were carved into it, and then give it back to the tribes from which it was stolen.

I'd replace the Confederate relief carvings on Stone Mountain with portraits of every president, as viewed from behind.

I'd like to see You try.

Also I am supporter of blowing up Mount Rushmore - it seems many people have problems with it

Stick V's face on it.

Yup ! V is great, he should have a statue ! :) We can put on a mask on every Lenin statue ! That would be like ..... a lot of statues ! :D

Maybe just outlaw statues, since they seem to cause so many political issues. There are people running around the country here, defacing and destroying statues of Sir John A. Macdonald (our first Prime Minister). Yes, he had reprehensible racist ideas and sat by while Louis Riel was hanged.

However, he is the reason why we even have a country, and destroying his statues won't erase the events surrounding him, whether for good or bad.

Locally they defaced a statue of Robbie Burns and put a potato necklace on Queen Victoria.

In a retro adventure game "Sam & Max" they've made Mount Rushmore a "tourist trap" - You could bungee jump out of a Washington's nose

I don't see why they would do that ? :dunno: Queen Victoria is ok in my book. What is much more concerning for me is that the BLM bandits have had Kościuszko statue ruined. Kościuszko was a Polish General who fought against the British in America's independence war. He was all against slavery and unequal treatment of black people - now he got his "thanks".

I say bandits - because that's what they are - I'm surprised Trump haven't declared "fire at will" policy yet.

Victoria was ruler during the potato famine and Rule Britannia/Colonialism.

Oh I see ;) From what I've read though she only wanted what's good for her subjects, so that they have enough to eat and warm clothes etc. Maybe I've read the wrong Civilopedia pages ;)

Why get rid of statues? Let’s build some for the icons of American progress (as I see it.)

Who doesn’t want 15-foot (that’s 5 meters for you metricified folks) statues of Martha Stewart or Ron Popeil gleaming majestically in the sun’s rays, looking out over a vast, clean, and convenient country? The Popeil statues are the best of all because of the low maintenance; set it and forget it. The Stewart statues need a little more care, but it’s a good thing.

Furthermore, I hereby announce the U.S. Congress shall have an official Dunce Cap, and this cap will be mandatory under threat of expulsion for anyone who says things that are really dumb on the floor of the House and Senate. I believe in good governance, and I doubt I can bring it solehandedly, so my job will be to act as Moderator of Shame, and bring heaps of derision and mockery on those who insult the intelligence of the public.

And further, the words that I made up shall henceforth be entered into the dictionary:

metricified - past tense of metricify, to make something metric

solehanded(ly)
- doing something entirely by oneself
