So one things that bugs me with multiplayer of civ 5 is there is no observer option let me explain

when you play a game with more then 5 players free for all and you lose because someone conquered you and you have to back to main menu you don't know who has won the game!!!

This can be frustrated if it is in the mid of the game where it really tide race ...
You basicly don't know who won

In command and conquer they had the option online when you where defeated in a free for all or team battle you could leave the game or watch as a observer the game.

But in this game it doesn't seam to exist strangly and I thinx it is even more immportant in this game to see what happenned in the end because it takes so much time to actually finish a game.

That would be nice but most.games tend.to have.people going out pretty quickly... not sure how many would stick around would be.nice to get a notification in the.multiplayer menu.about your game history.and.who won.

Part of the reason is that it could easily be exploited for cheating. So, at the very least, the host would have to enable it and it would probably be best for non-competitive games.

How can you cheat with this if you disable for example chat for observer so you can't say he is building that

becasue nothing stops the observer from using for example teamspeak/skype ..or steam PM and TELL the mate what the otherones are doing... u dont really need to use them ingame chat for that.

As long as the person playing Civ MP has an option to decide which people can, and cannot observe the game, this shouldn't be a problem. You can trust your friends not to tell everyone.

I would for example love to pop in and see how Sultan is doing in a game, whenever I dont have the time to play one myself.

A passworded solution or an option to "refuse player to observe" could solve the problem.

Yes thats how they do it in other games with that option.
