Hey ya, vote for your vavourite FF and put in a comment why. :goodjob:

FF1-6, (including 1j, 2j, 3j, 4j, 5j, 6j, and I think one Japanese playstation FF game), and FF9. I haven't played FF10, but I've seen a little bit of it.

My favorite in the bunch?

FF6, followed by FF4 (FF2 US). I have the Japanese version of FF2 and 3 (and a Famicom with 70+ games). Having a game as your favorite because it's the first one you've played isn't the best reason for liking a game. ;)

Graphics aren't everything (FF6 might look "stupid" to some, but it was a brilliant use of Mode 7 for its' time). The big part is the storyline IMHO. FF7 was ok. FF8 was just plain boring, and you felt like you were being pushed through the game. There's also something about not being able to see the entire world in one gulp that I like. :) (That's the problem with 3D -- too much visual freedom)

Also a note for FF11 - I'll never play that. Why? It's multiplayer, and you need a subscription. After awhile, it becomes more expensive than a normal game itself. What if you want to play it in 10 years? That server might not be around. Square might not be around. (you never know).

Yes I did.
FF7 was ok.
.

Maybe it's because I was raised during the early days of computers when 3D graphics were the stuff of supercomputers. Ones like the TRS-80 had simplistic 3D graphics. ;) So, I was content with 2D.

FF7 was also filled with FMV (FF8 even more!!!). The games started to feel too much like a movie there -- Especially in FF8 with pratically a FMV everytime you turned the corner.

I can't decide which is my favourite, so I've gone and picked all the ones I've played, 6 up to 10. :D I enjoyed them all.

Although you have missed out X-2, which, while different, I still enjoyed. It's more lighthearted than the others.

When a said FF11 i meant FF10-2! Oh, and FF7 isn't full of FMV's and it helps the story, not destroy it!

I'm probably one of those old-school purist-type players that like the old way of doing things.

I like older games aswell, too many new ones are unoriginal and crap. I also own old consoles like the Acorn Electron, Vindaloo is great! :D

FF VII was not just the greatest Final Fantasy, it was the greatest game ever made, EVER. It had the greatest story, greatest leading character(Cloud), and most of the other characters were awesome too, most evil, most powerful, most sadistic main Vilian(Sepiroth), greatest summon(Knight of the Round), it had amazing music, the minigames were great, the chocobo system was great too. all of this is not oppinion, its fact.

I completely agree, i'm playing it for the sixth time and i'm still finding out new things on 150+ hours! Anyone who doesn't own it, buy it!

have any of you played any sub-FF games like chocobo racing or Ergeiz? If so please post/

No! I completely agree with you. I love the old 16 bit SNES FFs, especially 6 (Love that boss music) and 3 of the FF games (4 if you count legends) are older that me!

1, 7, and 8 are my favorites. I've never played 3-6, and I found 10 dull.
