Wich is your fave FF?

FF7 was by far the greatest, if not the best video game ever made.
FF9 was also nice, but it's no FF7. (also got my vote)
The PC version of FF8 was horrible, and the playstation version was not much better, mainly due to the overpowered, unbalanced, long animated GF system.
FF5 was cute but nothing special.
FF6 was one of the 2 best snes rpgs (following Chrono Trigger IMO). Had the highly memorable opera scene, which was poorly immitated in future games, such as FF8 and Chrono Cross.
FF1-4 were before my time, and playing them after these games seems ridiculous. (I actually tried FF1 and quit a short while after)
I don't have a playstation 2 so I can't say much about FF10.
And lastly, FF11 monthly ripoff cost is far beyond my wallet size.

Does anyone like the sub-FF's like tactics and chronicles?

Tacitcs Advance and Crystal Chronicles are the only FF's I've played.
I'll be sure to pick up FF1&2 for GBA when it's released, though.

FFTA is pretty good, except the battle system is slow and the law system is extremely flawed. Good idea on paper, but it turned into a test of memorization rather than strategy. Storyline was different, which I thought was pretty good. Character development was non-existant, the characters aren't even cliched, they're just nobodies. Graphics are colorful, music sucks in game but the actual OST is amazingly good. Best part of FFTA is the freedom in the job system, but that's pretty much it, I can't play the game anymore because I'm too used to the faster battle system in Fire Emblem.

Crystal Chronicles sucks in single-player, very unique experience during multiplayer. I think Four-Swords is better, though. Amazing graphics, music is exceptional. Although I haven't played all that much of the game...

uh, no. When it comes to whether or not something (it doesn't matter what it is, game, tv show, movie, whatever) is the greatest of it's kind, ever, not now, not in the future could anything of it's kind be better, it will always be a matter of opinion. You may get a general acceptance that it is good, and some people may indeed say that it is the best ever, but you will always find people who think it is crap. Or at least not the greatest thing since sliced bread. And there exists people who do not think that FF7 is the greatest game ever made. Which means it isn't fact.

You cannot provide me with any proof to the otherwise either.
