Will the religion system be revised in the future in FfH2?

I wonder if there is any chance before FfH2 is completed that we can get a religion system more complex than what we have now in FfH2 and BtS.
Actually a city with more religions has more advantages than a city with only one religion, which IMO is just an unrealistic and bad implementation in civ4 and BtS but in FfH2 is even less fit considered that every religion portrays a really different way of life than the other ones, so that source of conflicts would be even more likely.

By a more complex religion system i mean a systewm which incorporates concept like that:

-a tolerance bar toward any religion
-religious conflicts at city level
-religion relationships: if in a city there is Runes of Kilmorph and Order it's less likely that there are disorders, than a city with Ashen Veil and Order which is subject to frequent disorders
-instrument like Purge of the Unfaithful to eradicate specific religions which you don't like from a city
-a system which doesn't favour multiconfessional cities
-cults? why not?
-lot of religions related events

Well there is already one negative event that happens when the Order and Veil are n the same city, and I believe it has been said that many more would be added. There may well be events causing problems between each religious combination, but some more common ans serious than others (thus taking into account that certain religious or more tolerant of certain others)

Personally I would like to see inquisitors abilities narrowed to wiping out a specific religion at a time, with a small chance he would get rid of another one instead (maybe even his own state religion, if he is so forcefully persecuting others his brethren may change their mind about their faith). It might also be good if Order priests could remove the Veil even in Empyrean civs' cities, and if the Luonnatar could remove religions anywhere. However, I don't really expect these changes (but I'll continue to give the ability to the Luonnatar myself)

Civics like theocracy and religious discipline (which have been merged into one on Shadow) do have penalties per non state religion. FfH has never favored multiconfessional cities as much as vanilla.

The new mechanism for the cult of the dragon just makes not adding more cults seem like a waste.

I'm sure plenty of religion specific events will be added.

Its not often we get a request to make FfH more complex. ;)

I dont expect that we would implement a system like this. I understand the flavor reasons for having it, but it doesnt sound fun. We dont want to force the player to play religious whack-a-mole to stay competive.

With that said the Cult of the Dragon is completly redone in 0.25, and I don't have a problem with events triggered from multiple religions together (such as the ones from the order and the veil).

Also, I dont think I mentioned it in the Council of Esus article but the holder of the Council holy city gets visibility into any city with the Council in it. So there are some minor reasons to keep religions out of your cities, but nothing to punishing.

What level of visibility? You see the city and the 8 tiles immediately surrounding it, or you can zoom into the city to see population distribution and production status?

Its the same as the city visibility that was granted in vanilla if you controlled the holy city for that religion.

can someone explain?
come on, no one can remember that!

Pretty sure that was the first one I stated: You see that city and the 8 tiles immediately surrounding it. No "city zoom" functionality, the city bar will not reveal what the growth/production progress are (so basically just shows you nearby & defending units and immediately adjascent improvements).

A BTS event I take it?

The only way I know of to get AV and Order in the same city is to get the holy city for (at least the 2nd one) there.

hmm, not the fat cross ?

It sounds like this has been foreseen in events, not that I have inside gen, I hasten to add. It rather depends on what these events are (e.g. city with multiple religions experiences religious unrest, options to crack down on all citizens, all non-state religion or do nothing - results in unhappiness, reduction of population (of persecuted religion), removing religion from city, destroying religious buildings etc).

I'm happy to wait and see what the team have come up with. I'm not sure I'd want greater complexity, as I think the game is complex enough (not a crticism - just an observation), and I want to concentrate on strategy over micromanagement. Of course, I know some players love to manage things at the nuts and bolts level, so my view is not representative.

The Order and Veil are no longer mutually exclusive in BtS FfH, to allow for religious riot events.
