Will this computer play Morrowind well?

The type must be DDR. FX-55 is a Socket 939 processor and Socket 939 motherboards don't support DDR2. 1gb is enough for Morrowind. Get two modules (2x512mb DDR400) to enable dual channel mode

Is it reasonable ot move forwards to a processor that will do DDR2?

If so, what was the top of the range processor that now has fallen from grace that will do DDR2?

Overclocking happens by either raising the FSB or by raising the multiplier (FX series have unlocked multiplier). No idea how well it overclocks though

When looking for old hardware (used for the most part) I can't recommend particular parts but would have to look at the whole system and its cost.

It sounds like you would be willing to put the computer together yourself, is that true, Abaddon?

Also, what is the price range we are working with?

Price as low as $79.99 after mail-in rebate. Of course, this all depends whether the card has DDR2 or DDR3 RAM, what the GPU speed is, etc.
