So will you play the tutorial before jumping into your first full game of ciV? Poll coming

EDIT: Say there is a tutorial.

The tutorial is your first game, the advisors walk you through it, theres no separate tutorial afaik

Hm... you know, I didn't think of that. Your probably right.

Nah, tutorials are boring.

Yes, I will. And I'd pretty much have to.

I love games like Civ. I love playing them, I love everything about 'em. But I'm just not very good at them, it doesn't come naturally to me.

Some people are very comfortable with all the numbers and resources and modifiers, it takes a real effort for me.

I will use it the first time so that I can see the advisors because I am curious about them before I shut them off when I get down to some serious play. I'd like to teach some friends ciV as well, so being familiar with the tutorial should help answer any of their questions when I use the tutorial to teach them.

Hee hee. I am sure my 18 years if Civ playing experience will trump their mastery of the tutorial. At least I hope so. ;)

Has any Civilization ever had a tutorial? I don't think so.

Civ 4 had one, unless you don't consider that a tutorial for some reason.

Helped me along pretty nicely.
Civ II also had one, but it was a just a save game, so there wasn't anything to point it out to a new player.

I might start off with the tutorial to get a feel for the game mechanics. Or maybe I'll just play the demo (if it comes out before 9/21). The one thing I am sure of is playing it like I do Civ4 would be a BAD idea, because of the new political dynamics.

Think there will be no tutorial, just Advisers as in previous Civs.

Anyway its better to first run the game on more or less easier difficulty level - to figure out how things done.

Go big or go home. First play through on diety or nothing

I'll play with advisors and turn them off if they start to annoy me.
Didn't Civ3 have a turorial mode where you played as Rome and got tips left and right ?

Yeah I guess I'll learn from the demo.
