[WIP] The Hand Of History

Some very interesting ideas here. I will have to sift through them, talk them over w/ Vrenir and Shqype (Where have you been? I missed ya, and I have a new SDK I will send you tomorrow.).

Well all day yhesterday and today I have been working out every bug I could find, as well as adding many feature that I believe will be awsome. More on this some other time.

Now I also had an idea. What I want to do is make it so like different units give promotions to nearby units. For example an Artillery might give an Infantry a bombardment 1 promotion if they are within 2 space of each other.

That sounds like a very interesting idea, and also hard to do.

Status report:
Have several SDK changes nothing big yet
Added AH64, ka50, and Chinook helicopters. Also added the Typhoon nuclear submarine, along w/ a super carrier (uses carriers anim. and changed the carrier anim.). Now the super carrier requires you to have a certain amount of ships and aircraft before it can be built.

Almost have failable techs done. We plan to have a massive tech tree overhaul with over 100 techs, and the addition of several eras which will be broken up into ages.

I can't think of anything else... thinking... oh as many of you probably have already figured out we are going to go for a BtS release.

This is now possible w/ BtS. Of course I want to make some very small changes. ;)
 
Ok, don't stop watching this thread. I'm getting my SDK off the ground and will be starting the Python/XML over the next week. I will have a beta version by the end of the month if I get my SDK (Thanks Dom Pedro II).


Edit: Vrenir and Shqype have gone MIA (at least for the last week or 2). So if anyone would like to help for at least a little while I'll gladly take ya.
 
MIA? No longer. Unfortunately, real life (yes that obnoxious thing) has been rather involving the past two weeks. My uncle has a hay farm and has needed help with his harvest, so I've been out there quite a bit. It looks like the rest of this week is in the clear however due to possibly inclimate weather.
 
I would like to apologise for my own disappearance. I have recently been appointed a Tournament Director over at the civ4players ladder league and haven't had much time for much in my spare time.
I will be keeping an eye out for this mod, let me know when you have a version that needs playtesting and I will see what i can do! :)
 
Will do. It will be happening soon. Me and Vrenir (or should I say Vrenir) have been busy sorting through buildings, units, technologies, resources, corperations, so on and so forth. Can't wait to get working on this. I have finally finished the API (well most of it) so I will have like 100 time more time to work on THH.:bounce:
 
Yes this project is still alive. I'm sorry that I haven't been doing much, but I have been very busy. I should have more time in January. ;)

I'm beginning to work on THH already. :cooool:
 
Wonderful! Now as I said Dom is working on our SDK. :D

If Dom is working on it, no use me doing it as well. Let me know if you still need my help though.
