Hi,

Looking into the possibility of getting this. But i'm a tad confused. I'm told once you get your modem you can connect from anywhere "in your house" as the Wanadoo website says. However as i'm going to Uni in September, i was wondering if i brought my modem with me, and the Uni was a Wireless Hotspot area, would i be able to connect to the Internet there? Its the the wording of the 'in your house' bit that has me confused.

If there is a wireless connection router within range, you can connect. Generally, if you have one in your house, you can connect from anywhare in the house. If your uni is set up with wireless connections available, you should be able to use that.

The halls of residence at Edinburgh Uni have internet access (resnet) points in most rooms. You'd need to connect your router to one of these and make sure you have the appropriate wireless network card in your computer - then it should work ok.
Or alternatively hope someone else has the same idea, and just sponge off of their connection :P

Should be the same in Glasgow, Strathclyde etc.
