These were the people who oppresed Africa and caused so much pain? These were the people who in unity destroyed thousands of years of African society and civilization? King Menilik III let out a loud laugh as he watched the news on the telivision. The people who had once been the envy of the world, who had once crushed Africa, who had then become the champions of peace, were fighting a war in which no side seemed able to win? What happened to the great artillery and cavalry, to the infantry, and navy that had once ruled the world with an iron fist that gave in to noone. Where was the silver tongue of diplomacy that had saved them after both of the world wars? Had they become so weak that their wars were like the squables between two warlords in the African jungles? Were they now so disunited that they couldn't solve something so silly as this Baltic War with a little of the famed French diplomacy of Europe? Whenever Menilik III thought any of these thoughts in his head it made him laugh even more. Abysinia, the star of the "uncivilized" continent of Africa was now rising to a position where it could deny the "civilized" Europeans. Europe was falling, but Abyssinia was rising.
