The gavel came down and the room suddenly became completely quiet. A pin was heard dropping in the distance on what sounded to be a pillow. The first meeting of the Abysinian Council was called to order. The Council elections had gone as planed despite the governmental change. The King's former party (he had to resign from the party upon taking the throne), the Abyssinian Rebirth Part, won the Abysinian home territories, as well as Eritrea and Djibouti. Western Somalia as well as north-eastern Uganda were easily won by the ARP also. Most of the rest of Somalia was won by the Muslim Somali Party for Abyssinia, while the majority of the rest of Uganda was won by the Christian Abysinian Party for Uganda. These two parites were basically religion specific, ethnic specific, versions of the ABR, except for their stance against the institution of Judaism by the King. These results contradicted everything the political annylists had forcasted after the rioting in the outer provinces. But that just goes to show how much the news media loves to over-exagerate. The job o fthe council today was to elect a Prime Minister. After much debate the decision came down to Sabe Atsene, a Djiboutan who had held an important position in the Treasury Office of the Earth Federation before the collapse. The meating was held in the old government building in Addis Abbaba since the new one being constructed in Aksum had been postponed since the warlords to the west of the country had not yet replied and the progress of the soldiers was not yet know. As the day ended, the Representatives retired to their hotel rooms in Addis Abbaba to get some well deserved sleep.
Meanwhile in Aksum....
King Menilik III became bored waiting for the Council to adjourn and decided to take a nap. As he was about to lay down he suddenly got an idea. He decided to revive The Order of King Solomon as an elite force of Abyssinian soldiers. He immediately called in his military advisor to discuss how his ingenious idea would be carried out.
