Several other warlords would join the junta, with others denying power. The nation of Russia was redeclared in 9 AC after the fall of St. Petersburg. The ever expanding Russian nation faced off against the NEF for the first time in 11 AC over conflict of control of the former eastern Polish lands from Warsaw to Minsk. The Polish War was costly and forced Russia to expand elsewhere. Russia than moved through Ukraine, Caucasus and further east. Their expansion into the Black Sea region caused a second war with the NEF along with the ME in 17 AC. Although the war ended within 5 months, and created the Slavic Union, Russia continued the war against the NEF through to 18 AC in the Baltic War. This war led to the creation of the Baltic Federation. Russia is currently a military powerhouse, with a fragile economy.

Amazonian warlords continue to raid Brazils frontiers while the government deals with corruption, Columbian drug trafficking and poverty. The SCA has replaced Argentina as the new threat to Brazilian sovereignty.

Are there any good nations that haven't been reserved?
I hate this reserving in preview threads idea, it means that when the NES actually opens, instead of first come first served, it's "I reserved them" when someone else tries to claim a nation, not having seen the preview thread... And makes life impossible for people trying to join the damn thing who haven't seen the preview thread cos they don't know who the hell isn't taken!
I really think it's one of the worst habits in the NES forum at the moment...

Although the Union has assured that Russia and the NEF has balanced power in the Baltic area, it faces many problems the Slavic Union faces. The Baltic Union however has been able to stabilize its economy unlike the Slavic Union and faces a brighter future if all goes well. The current prime minister is a Finn from the liberal party.

The NEF has slowly been collapsing however due to continued warfare with its neighbors. The Norman War of 9 AC cost the NEF Normandy and parts of Norway to the UK. The 3 Roman Wars has drained the NEF of power in the Mediterranean and Balkans, with the final blow to Balkan ambitions being the Black Sea War. The Loire War in 12 AC and Iberian rebellion has drained NEF of power in western Europe.
