OOC: Warman can you speed up the expansion a lot, and I mean a LOT! This will be fairly boring, seeing as it will prolly take 60 turns for the 4 of us to together claim most of Africa.

Big celebrations in Hattusas. King Mursilis III stood afront of the just finished Megalith. The Hittite Empire was the most cultural advanced civilisation on the world. But the economy was a problem. The King decided to conquer more lands in the west, because he hoped that the scouts would find somethign that would grow the economy.

Well I discovered the whell and i thought i was the second....
so you got training boost. not an enlistment level boost. YThey are differnt.
There are 3 thing:
Size(The size of your army
Training(how good your army is in combat
Enlitment Level(how many soldiers you can recruit per turn

It is time Russia returned to its militaristic roots Empress Vera announced in front of the royal court, I have issued a grand scale recruitment program for our armies. I am opening a campaign to conquer all the land south of Russia to the Black Sea. Prince Joseph will command the army, he has been instructed to give two an options, join us or be crushed. With the advent of the Chariots, Russias armies can move at lightning speed.
Prince Joseph has spent his life learning the art of war and politics, while he learned to write, we was also learning the traditions of Russian military strategies going all the way back to his great grand father who founded Russia. He despises his grandfather for his lack in using the military to bring Russia to even greater power.
Construction of the Great Forums in Danu has been completed. The now large trading port is an economical hot bed.

Ragnar Blood axe had become the new chief of Scandinavia. As his name implied he was a vicious sort. Tall and large, he was a fearsome sight indeed. He always carried his weapon of choice with him, a large axe. These weapons were traditionally used for clearing farmland for the Norse farmers. But they can be adapted to fighting. Under Ragnar the economy was put towards war. Everything was put aside except research. He felt that the Scandinavians needed better technology.
The Scandinavian scholars had just discovered the wheel. They were on a roll(pun not intended). They set about researching new methods of making grand buildings. Ragnar wanted them working this out so that they could create vast monuments. Some of these were to be dedicated to him, others to Odin himself. These required technology that probably would take years to develop. But the scholars set to work on them right away.
Ragnar called many more men of Scandinavia to join the army, vastly increasing the ranks. He then increased the training of the men. He said the Vikings would come and attack and the people should be ready to defend themselves now. It was inevitable that this would come to pass. Ragnar also put all ships into port and had them heavily defended because the Vikings ruled the sea.
Ragnar continued to call on Swedes and people of Denmark to join the Vikings under separate Lords. They would still have some autonomy, but would be under the greater protection of Ragnars kingdom. Ragnar also ordered the Scandinavians to invade the Vikings he would lead the attack personally.
Blood was in the air. You could hear it, you could feel it. The warriors of Scandinavia were gathering. They drummed an ancient tune. It brought up primal emotions in the hearts of those who heard it. Anger! Rage! Thirst for destruction of your enemies! The people of Scandinavia had been insulted by the Vikings. The Vikings considered them lesser than themselves. The Scandinavians were angered by this, it was time to invade.
The huge army gathered on the border of the Vikings. It consisted of extremely well trained men who would sacrifice their lives for their land. It was about the same size as the Viking military, but the men in the Scandinavian military were professional fighters. They would defeat the enemies of Scandinavia! As the warriors gathered on the border they harassed the Viking sentries. They threw the rotting food that was turned away from the border 10 years ago. The insulted them, calling them fools, and proud dogs. The Viking leader had personally insulted the Scandinavian leader, saying that Odin only cared for the Vikings. The Scandinavian army begged to differ. The Scandinavians didnt take kindly to this .and it was time. The Scandinavian army had come to ask ..can the Vikings come out and play?
The Army, suddenly and without warning, pushed over the border of the Vikings. The border guards were overwhelmed. It was a slaughter. The Viking army would come now! The glorious war would ensue! The Vikings had brought it all upon themselves. Now they would have their desired fate.....it was time they went to Valhalla. Bring me the head of the Viking Chief! said Ragnar. Ragnar hoisted his Axe into the air. Onward to Trodenhiem! cried Ragnar! The men cheered in response. This was the beginning of the rise of Scandinavia. It would control its homeland of Norway, and then would move on to greater Scandinavia!
Back in Scandinavia the workmen realized that they had missed the best use of these new wheels. They could make special carts to be used in war to transport men fastor...somehow they had missed this application. They must get right on it!
